Ok guys....it's getting pretty close to that time were we will all be busy packing and getting ready to migrate to LA!!!! And I just want to verify a few things..

1. So we have established our first meeting will be on embarkation day at the Sail Away party right???

2.Did we decide if it was going to be on the right or left side of the stage??

3. Also, I know that it was mentioned before and I can't remember if anything was decided...Are we going to get a group photo?? Should it be on Formal night when everyone is all dressed up? or should we do thise on Pirate night???? What does everyone else think?

I'm sitting here at work...and I'm so excited about going I'm not getting anything done!!!...lol...

1. Yes, our first 'official' meeting, but some of us will also meet by Mickey's pool in the afternoon of the first day.

2. I think we ended up with the less crowded with the speculation being the right side. My guess is we'll just congregate where the green t-shirts and lanyards are.

3. I think we said formal night, but pirate night would also be good. Of course I still have nothing together for pirate night...

It does not matter on the side of the stage if someone gets there and there is noone on one particular side then the rest of us will find you.

You guys remember to take a jacket for those California evenings. (ok maybe not you WA gals , or Utah, maybe not even SC girls, ----but as for the rest of us it has been chilly in the evenings there.

We are probably going to raid Pirates of the Caribbean this weekend. My 5 yr old is the only one that is set for that. We have bandanas from a school party we did but will see what else we can find. It sure has caught on. At Xmas noone dressed up.

Yes the kids club has an open door philosophy. There is a schedule for each age level and you can go through and find all the play times, character events... My kids love the Lilo and Stitch dance party usually on the first night. There is also a ship type tree house with slides and bridges that they can play on when it is free play. You just tell them you are a visitor when you go to the desk. There are times for playdoh, finger painting, cars, drawing, ...The bigger kids have computer time, experiments, playstation, wacky races...

We will have to figure out how to get both dinner seatings in to a photo.

Mouseaumob- I Unless you want them to be anonymous then I think that we should say who our gifts are from. Although it would be kinda neat to try to figure out what state they are from!...lol

I too have nothing prepared for pirate night! I think that I will have to shop in New Orleans Square at the Pirates of the Caribbean shop in Dland!!!

Tarheelgirl-I say we take pictures on formal night too. And if we want to we can always take them on Pirate night too!!!

Did any of you check out the Repo cruise thread? They had pictures of some people in their Pirate costumes and all I can say is WOW!!!...they looked like they just got out of wardrobe from Pirates of the Caribbean (the movie)!

I was on the Magic last October. There was no one but children dressed up for Pirate night. Looking at the repo pics though, I may be the only one NOT dressed this time. Can you imagine packing some of those costumes? Bet that took a lot of room in the suitcase!

Don't worry! I won't be dressed up like that either! I'm not gonna have any room in my luggage as it is...let alone enough to put a whole costume in there!!..lol I'll probably just wear the bandana and eye patch!!!

Good Morning!! Anyone else so excited that you didn't sleep very well? When I got up this morning, I realized that next Friday I will be in LA. Nothing like the thoughts of a Disney cruise to get you up and moving in the morning.

Glad to hear that I'm not going to be the only non-pirate on pirate night. It's strange to me that we're having a pirate night. Last time, it was called pirates IN the caribbean. We won't be in the caribbean but I guess they thought most people had experienced the tropical/mexican theme nights. It's a fun night regardless of where we'll be!

I didn't really want them to be anonymous, I kind of liked the idea of a little tag that said: MousseauMob Strikes Again! On the other hand, I also thought it might be fun to try and guess - although this might be really hard, as some of the stuff I have would be difficult or impossible to guess.

So what is everyone else doing - will you be tagging the gift fairy items, so we know who they are from?

on the little gifts, what are we talking here? in all our cruises, we've never done this, so i'm at a loss...are we just doing a general exchange or must everything we're exchanging be state-specific? also, should i be getting seven day's worth of stuff for each or just one? are we buying for each person in a party or just one per stateroom? finally, what is the final count of people going and/or staterooms to be bought for?

We have litle pockets for our doors that the gift fairy drops litle nickknacks in occasionally. Its however many times you want to do it. It can be something little to eat , something from your state, some cute $1 store item, whatever. Nothing elaborate. I am not labeling mine ---I think it will be an easy guess.

We have some cabins that have 2 people in them that are not related so we decided to treat them seperate. I believe our count is 12 entities. (9cabins)
There are 28 people in our group. I decided to do a door sign for WRH3MD and try and bring them back in once onboard because they may be like Skeegan and I who were here so long ago and there was no action and gave up thinking "no group this time" I know diznekids also did not realize we were looking for them.

What has happened to poohs4me? I felt so bad making up their sign with no names and no cabin number and no picture.

I don't think that we will be anonymous either with our gifts....we will probably make little gift tags to go with them.

So we have a total of 12 party's to buy for....(9cabins) not too bad considering a few weeks ago we thought there were just a couple of us on this cruise....

Today is my last day here at work!! All I need to do is get through the next 7 hours and I'll be in VACATION MODE!!!! Anybody else ready for the Sail Away party??????...lol

I am so ready to go. I am also on my last day of work before vacation and am having a hard time concentrating on work. I would much rather be outside in the 90 degree weather I ordered to get me into the vacation mode.

I can't wait until we get on the cruise and leave, then whatever you forgot to pack doesn't matter. We will be at Disneyland also a few days before the cruise. I am trying to pack a little each day. I was just laying out swimsuits tonight and doing laundry.

Did anybody else see that DCL is doing a big celebration tomorrow for the 1st sailing from a West Coast port???? How cool is that! Too bad we aren't on that sailing...oh well...I hope they do something special for all the cruises!

Aahh! I'm freaking out! We leave on Wednesday, all I have is 3/4 of the carry on bag packed. I haven't printed the magnets or the tags and they still need to be cut out, I haven't done t-shirts, I have no pirate gear, I haven't even finished shopping to buy the stuff I need to take and now my MIL is here as a house guest until Tuesday expecting us to chat and entertain her when all I really want to do is run around like a crazy woman getting ready and chatting on the dis boards with people who understand.

I can NOT believe the ship is pulling into California tomorrow morning and the first west coast cruise begins and then we're next!

Those poor repo cruisers seem shocked that their time is up. Too Bad Now its gettin closer to our turn.

Yeah, I went running around all day today getting stuff. Trying on dress clothes and my son realizes his dress shoes are too tight. Other son thinks belt doesn't quite fit,....And if it makes anyone feel any better, the pirates of the caribbean store did not have their old pirate costumes just lots of pirate tshirts. So my middle son had a pirate costume, I think I am going to have Blake wear a pair of red pants, black belt and a white shirt with bandana hat, my oldest got a tshirt and hat, don't know what DH intends to do, but as for myself,I bought a peasant skirt at "Dillards" and a white top. I will also wear a pirate bandana.

I don't remember was one of you asking about the golden mickey ears? They had them in the park tonight. The other thing I saw that was kinda neat is an anniversary edition of the Disneyland Train in gold. It was packed and right after fireworks it began to pour. We were so far from the front entrance and it was so crowded that we were soaked within 5 minutes. I am still shivvering.

See there is one advantage to leaving last......I have a few more days than you guys to pack and without anyone to chat with I will be lonely and get my work done. Just think you guys in a few days we don;t get to chat with each other to we meet up on board. I will be anxious to meet up with you guys at Scoops and the Mickey Pool just to hear all about your California adventures.

I have yet to figure out what this guy is doing or when to use him---

Okay you guys just thought I was a wimp---- the repo report said they were all cold on deck and noone was in pool today. I think they said 60s in the daytime. If this is the case we may not be at the Mickey pool.
