Okay, I'm going to start it off....

We are so excited that we received our first choice in sail date and cabins.

This will be our 4th DCL cruise, our second West Coast cruise! I can't believe I just paid off our 4/8/07 Freedom of the Seas on Jan. 28th... then I turned around and and three days later booked this cruise! :rotfl:

There are 4 of us going on this cruise. My oldest DS will be 18 at the time of this cruise, graduating from High School and probably going to Europe again with his classmates on a school trip during this week.

So, there is me, DH, DS15 DD9.

We are very excited because I talked my girlfriend and her family in booking the same cruise! She always wanted to cruise and when DCL announced they were returning to California we said "LET'S DO IT!"

So we are cruising together! Our kids are very good friends. Her DD9 and DS14. I'll get her to join in here too.

So YEAH! :cheer2: :dance3: :cool1:

Yay! We will be joining you on 6/29/08. It will be me and my soon to be hubby!!! It will be our honeymoon cruise. A little dissapointed not to be doing the caribbean but we think its going to be awesome!!! I'm so happy that someone else on the Dis is on my cruise!!! Woo Hoo!!!!

MickeyAnne!

I saw your thread about July 4th... I sent my gf a copy of it. :cool1: :cheer2:

Our girls will be 9 so she and I are so excited about dressing them up for pirate night. We are working on our boys.... 14/15... pirate:

Whhoooo Hoooooo

We just flushed away our first $1000 - I mean paid our deposit - for the June 29 to July 6 Cruise on the Magic to Mexico!!!

It will be my wife and I and our ds11 and dd5. He will have just graduated from elementary school and she will have just graduated from pre-school!

We love disney. Have never been on a disney cruise before (just carnival and royal carribean). My DS went 2 years ago with my in laws and a cousin when the Magic was on the west coast.

We went cheap (so to speak) and got a deluxe inside stateroom at a good price from dreams unlimited travel whose ad we saw on DIS boards. I was surprised that the final quote was SEVERAL hundred dollars less than booking with disney directly. We will be on deck 7.

Since we live in the L.A. area, we won't have flights and all the other related costs.

We have never been to any of the ports on the cruise (just TJ and Ensenada for us before), so that should be very fun!

Hope to meet fellow DISSERS on board for a drink!

Tom

Hey, whats the scoop on pirate night??

My DD has a cute pirate girl costume. Worth bringing -- along with all of her other princess garb?

Hi Tom! I saw you around the halls today on another thread! The thread about gift baskets. :)

Although I leave in two months to sail on the Freedom of the Seas, I am so excited to return to Disney!

Your kids will love it. Well, I'm sure your son loved it! We missed it so much sailing last year on the Explorer. This year we are sailing with my DS17 before he is off to college so we picked RCCL again. The 2008 sailing, he'll be off so it's just the remaining eggs in our basket, DD9, DS15.

On our first DCL cruise my DD was 4 and loved, just loved it. Our second DCL cruise, she was 5 and we couldn't get her out of the clubs! My youngest son was 11 on our first. He cried when we got to the airport because had the best time and met friends and loved the counselors. We had to console with the fact that we rebooked while on board.

My DD wore her Minnie dress three out of four nights our first cruise! Bring all princess dresses, jammies, autograph books! Don't forget the pillow case, to turn into guest services, they'll have all characters sign it. My kids never were into pin trading but my youngest son (11) got into it on the cruise. Never did again.

I lost my camera in the theatre on our first cruise, and I'm strolling on Deck 10 and here comes Goofy. I can't take pictures I tell him because I lost my camera. He gets all goofy with his chaparone and they take my cabin number and I get a call later that they found it. Then Goofy went to join my DS11 in the Mickey pool that was closed down for the night and opened just for their club and they opened up the slide and a photographer came and took pictures with Goofy and all the kids. They did relay games... girls in one ear, boys in the other...Goofy cheering them on... it was a great experience.

Oh, I want to dress our girls (mine and my girlfriends) up so cute on pirate night. And all of us of course.... pirate:

The best part, after departing with the $$$$ for deposits, is the 16 months of planning! And NO AIRFARE! :cheer2:

Let's all keep in touch here!

We will hopefully be joining you too. We have our room reserved but I am waiting for the points release for DVC to make sure we have enough points to do this...it's going to be close. Anyhoo, it will be me, DH and DS11 (time of sailing). Can't wait this will be our first Disney cruise.

That would be cool if my DS11 knows there will be at least one other 11 year old boy to hang out with! :)

We will have to get them pen-paling or emailing before the cruise. It would be great if they knew someone before they went. :thumbsup2

Hey Everyone!

We are going on this sailing also!! This will be our 4th Disney Cruise!!!:cloud9: I wish we were going this summer but my DH said " We need to go other places besides Disney" So this summer we are going to Hawaii in July which will also be great but I LOVE DISNEY:woohoo:

We have two boys which next year at sailing will be ages 5 and 8. They have been going every year since they were babies and think everyone goes to Disney( like it is part of everyday life) LOL:rotfl: Needless to say I am a Disney Fan will really a Disney NUT with a Capital N.

Have you folks seen that the only reservation you can get for our sailing now is a Cat 11 without a specific room, and that would cost about $6800 for 2 adults and 2 kids?!? YIKES. Glad I reserved when I did!:cool1:

Yep!!:cool1: :thumbsup2 I started a Thread on the main DCL about it. There are only a few left. When I talked to DCL they said a few rooms could pop up Sat. at midnight if the deposits are not made, which happens, but other then that it would be very low selling.
She also said that there would be most likely people who change their mind/cancel for the next 15 months but it could be hit and miss and that the people wanting to try and book a room would have to keep checking for the next 15 months!:scared1: Glad we are not having to worry about that!

Now the hardest part. Waiting until we go!:hourglass

We switched rooms today and now have SPH!! Anyone else on Deck 5?
We have never stayed in SPH only in Cat 5 and 6? But I have heard such great things about this Cat 10-sph for the $$$. I hope so!!! :cool1:

I wish I had been on here more to learn about the sph rooms BEFORE making my request!

Oh Well........Next Time!

:cool1:

There was one left today and just so you know if you ask to rebook another room, they should give you the same rate you would have paid the date you booked.
So if you wanted for Ex. Cat 4 and on the day you booked it would have costed $10,000 (just example, I don't know real cost LOL) and on that same day you really booked a Cat 6 lets say was $8,000.
This week if there were still Cat 4 for sale then you could then change to from the Cat 6 and pay the $10,000 last week instead of this weeks cost of for example $12,000 for a Cat4. I hope I am explaining ok? I am tired tonight, its been a long day.LOL

Hey, I am here again! Where are you all! LOL
I sure hate waiting so long for this trip!!!
We should try and keep up with each another here and then try and meet the 1st day on board?
We did that on my last cruise and it was fun. We even had 2 groups which were linked together at the dinners, one early and one for late.

:welcome: And make a funny Group name for us all?

Yeah.

Thanks Disney Fans.

We were able to check back with our TA from DU and we got moved to SPH room 5024. That is very fun! So we should be right near you (not sure which cabin you have, but there are only like 5 SPH rooms there.)

I really like being near the clubs too since I will have one in the lab and one in the club!

BIG PROPS to Karen (subbing for Sue Ellen) at Dreams Unlimited!
