Hi everyone. I'm new to the board, although I have lruked for awhile. I have been to DL about 25 times but its been about 3 years since my last trip. My husband hasn't been since being a kid, my step son has never went and my DS who is 22 months has never been.

We are planning a one day trip for June 28th and would like suggestions on ride ideas and how to do them best. We are avoiding the larger rides, I am pregnant, the little guy is to small and the 7 year old is scared of heights. We will do pirates and haunted house and thats about as crazy as we are going. I have been so many times but never with kids so I have no idea what I'm doing! :confused3

Also, my kids love Cars so we are hoping to see the new area but not sure if it will be to crazy and take all our time with only having one day.
Any ideas or help would be appreciated!:)

If you want to see CarsLand and are only going one day, I would make sure you go to DCA when it opens to hopefully get in/get out before it gets too crazy.
Also, where your little one is concerned, I would start out with the outside rides (Carrousel, Dumbo, Casey Jr) and see how he does before the darker rides (HM, POTC).
Best thing is to get there when the park opens and take breaks so you can hopefully stay until they close in order to utilize the evening hours when the crowds are likely to be a lower (slightly).
Have a great trip!

Are you going to have MM for that day? If so, then you will be able to get into DL several hours before DCA. I would plan on going straight to Fantasyland & then heading over to DCA for Carsland. Then come back to DL for things like Buzz Lightyear (I just bet your 7 yr old will love it as much as mine!), HM, POTC, Jungle Cruise- a must with small kids!! and dont forget to hit up a parade and maybe WOC or F!. Personally, if I had to choose between WOC or F!, I would go with F!- seems WOC has some issues with visibility.:headache:

If you don't have MM, then I would do like the other poster suggested and hit DCA 1st thing for Carsland, maybe a few other small rides and then come over early afternoon to DL. The good thing about summertime is that the parks are open later, so you will have more time to spend. Take advantage of FP if it's avail & busy that day to maximize your time.

My 7 year old is a thrill seeker and LOVES the roller coasters & scary rides. But he also really enjoys Peter Pan, Jungle Cruise, HM, POTC, Nemo, Autopia, Buzz and of course everything about Toontown.:thumbsup2

Thank you. I think CA we will mostly just walk thru, since the rides are larger.
We are playing on showing up before opening.
I think I will be making a map off what our plan is before we go to stay on track. We don't plan on walking around the shops much, just doing the rides.
