June 28th, 2009 commemorates the 40th anniversary of the Stonewall riots.

This was one of THE pivitol civil rights events of the 1960's, and one of the biggest events in gay history.

Are you doing anything to celebrate?

I believe that a friend of ours is doing her cabaret performance at P-house that night. Perhaps we'll make a night of it and do dinner at Hamburger Mary's as well.

I should probably go to Madison WI to watch the home show of one of the "all male" (cough cough) drum corps.

Or I could stay home and have some dental work!

Hmmmm :confused3

What are you doing ConcK?

I will be at work, but I was thinking of printing up bios on notable gay rights figures and posting them at work, or sending a mass e-mail to my co-workers.

Cool!

You could do a bio for ME! I'm notable. ::yes::

I like your idea ConcK. ::yes:: Don't forget to include Disney CMs in the list. ::yes:: Notable as they come!

Hmmmm... not sure, but maybe I'll surprise the Wife and we'll head downtown.

I will be in England!! I guess i can celebrate by being held against a wall made of stone by some hot british guy with a sexy accent... ah hem... pirate: or i can light a candle.

That will be my first Sunday completely free in a long time, so I assume I'll be cleaning the apartment and taking a nap. Maybe I can play Wizard of Oz in the background.

If you need phone numbers, let me know ;) :rotfl:

We'll be vacationing on Lake Michigan in Saugatuck, MI next week.
St. Louis Pride is that weekend, and that's how we usually celebrate. This year is the 30th anniversary of Pride St. Louis, so it will likely be quite a celebration. But I'm sure we'll find a way to celebrate in a different way at the lake! :thumbsup2

We'll be going to the Pride March here in NYC on Sunday. We go every year, but this year we'll have our 2-month-old baby in tow! Don't know how long we'll actually stay at the parade (excuse me, "march") but we have to go at least long enough to take a photo of Margot at her very first Pride March! We bought her an outfit with rainbows on it for the occasion, lol.

Thanks for letting me know it was the anniv.

We will be at SF Pride on Sinday.

So after much thought, I decided to try something a bit bigger than the video/slideshow I origionally mentioned.

Since I'm addicted to online video games, and I chat with some people who run various websites for the games (as well as a few game developers), I decided to try and create a high-profile GLBTQ video game website :thumbsup2

I have done zero work on it so far, but I plan on building it up over the weekend, and then I'll start promoting it some more.

If you want to pass the link around, the current web addy is http://GaymerNation.wetpaint.com . I'm poor, so I had to go with wetpaint since it's a free hosting service (at least for now ;) ).

Well, I popped by your new site ConcK. ::yes:: I know absolutely nothing at all about games, so am useless for giving feedback. All I can say is I hope it's what you want it to be and that you really enjoy yourself there! ::yes::
