Hi, this is a stupid question but do we buy gifts for each person for each day of the cruise or just 1 day? If it is just 1 day, which day do we deliver? Sorry, this is our first Disney cruise and I have looked but can't seem to find the answer. Thank you for your help! Heather

It's not a stupid question. The minimum is one gift per participating stateroom. The day you give it is up to you.

It's your choice whether you give one gift for each stateroom or individual gifts. You may notice that many of the fish extenders have a pocket at the top typically for the parents, and then individual pockets for each child. This is not an absolute rule, but a popular way of doing it so you can put individual gifts for the children and maybe one for the adults or just one per stateroom. Again your call. That is the reason why we ask for favorite characters in case you decide to do individual gifts.

The distribution of gifts is done once per stateroom so at some point you will go around to each stateroom with your gifts and you are done. In the past, we have set a schedule so that all gifts are not distributed in the first couple of days.

The children get excited seeing their fishing extenders pockets full of stuff similar to Christmas morning. After the first day or so there is a hope/expectation that when they wake up or come back to their stateroom that the fish extender will be stuffed again. If everyone distributes their gifts in the first day or so then the children spend the next 5 days kind of disappointed which is why scheduling distribution is not a bad idea.

We typically hold off until later in the cruise just to make sure that all the gifts are not distributed in the first couple of days.

Hi, I saw that you had 2 spots but then the last post was that it was closed. I should have ask last night when I asked about the rules of the fish extenders, but I have a friend that wondered about it. Thanks! Heather

Does anyone know if there is any artwork for this cruise. It's not uncommon for a member to create a cruise specific gif or jpg for the cruise. Anyone?

My wife was asking the same thing as she was preparing the FE gifts. Typically would put a note card in with the FEs that would include our DISboard name, cruise theme name, and artwork.

Looking at your user name, I think we've cruised together before. I'm not a great computer art guy but we'd like to do something for our FE's that includes 4th of July cruise. I'll hunt around but if anyone reading this is artistically gifted....please run with it and make a 4th of July themed cruise art for our cruise.....check other cruises. It's common and when used a great keepsake.

So I was playing around and came up with a couple of images we can use for our cruise if anyone wants to use it. (Or we can come up with something else too...:confused3) What do you think?

Here's the first one:

Very nice. Kind partial to the second one, although both are great. Any chance you can make the hi-res versions available so we can use them on our FE cards?

Sure...I will see if I can make a hi-res version. I'm not the most computer savvy but I'm sure I can figure out a way to make it. Lol :)

If you use an image editing program like PhotoShop the original image would normally be high resolution. Uploading an image to the Internet like Facebook typically reduces the resolution and file size since web browsers can easily render a low resolution file and the reduction in file size takes up less space on the Facebook servers. The file resolution reduction happens during the upload process.

Printing requires higher resolution images. If you have ever downloaded an image from the Internet and printed it out you'll notice the image resolution is not great because printing requires more pixels (dots) per square inch.

Thanks Pudo for the info! I used PowerPoint to create the images so I'll play around with them when I get home tonight. :)

Hi Everyone! Would this still be considered the inaugural sailing? I am partial to the simpler (1st) one). :stir:

Thank you for creating these. They are awesome! I guess we could use whichever one, right?
