We are a group of 4 (myself, DH, adult son and adult daughter), we have a gty reservation that we will not know until port day, but can leave a note on the main FE door to let people know.

I would say to you to do exactly what you feel!! If you wish to gift to adults only or kids only, then do that! If you want to do everyone or just one family gift per cabin... Then do that! Whatever you want to do! I would think most will buy for the kids... And then if you wish to include the adults also, it is up to you!

They will put a sign out stating "closed for private function for one hour". We can have it from 1-2pm or 4:30-5:30pm. What is everyone's preference?

We've had a little bit of everything. We had some in our FE group only give to our DD, some gave to all 3 of us, some gave a family gift and an individual gift for our DD, and some gave a family gift and individual gifts to all 3 of us. It's up to you what you feel comfortable spending, making, and packing. I try to do what can be easily packed (for both me to take to the ship and for the recipient to take home if it's not something to be consumed on the cruise). For me, it's something fun for my DD and I to do before the trip to help build up the excitement, and then during the trip it was like an extra bit of pixie dust getting the goodies.

SClark, we had to order our FE gifts already since we'll already be on vacation a week before the cruise. Plus with the wedding I didn't want to have more things on my plate. We may or may not have enough for those who are in our group but didn't post cabin number already. Just an FYI. We aren't trying to exclude anyone but I didn't want to wait any longer (or order way too many gifts). Hope that's okay!
