June 27, 2007 10 Night - The Rodney Dangerfield of Med Cruises

We're on the June 22 10:00 pm flight from Newark to Paris, landing around 11:30 am. We can't wait! Need to start packing!

We're on the 6:00 p.m. Philadelphia - Paris flight on Friday, 6/22. Only two more days!

Seems like a lot of folks are going over early - is anyone staying in Barcelona Monday/Tuesday? Anyone interested in meeting for Tapas? Since I won't have a cell phone - we would have to make "loose" plans.

we arrive Sunday afternoon - and are planning on just hitting the beach and seeing the Olympic Village that first day (since our hotel is near there).

Then we have our own touring planned for Mon/Tue including using the hop on/off bus. I have this great little Fodors book that has the top 25 sites of barcelona, and a great two day tour to follow to hit all the highlights.

Ok can someone pinch me? Can you tell I'm getting excited??

Well, I guess it's a good thing it's been raining all day here. I've gotten a lot of laundry done and quite a bit of packing done. There's hope I might get it all done!!!!! I can't believe our fellow cruisers are getting on their way!!!! We are all so excited!!!!! Well, it's back to work!

We are on Air France 11:30 Saturday night out of Boston to Paris - and then to BCN. We don't get in til the afternoon. We will see if we can find the magic fountains! That's good to know!

Yup, we are on that same PHL-BCN flight.

I didn't get upgraded on any of the transatlantic legs. I got upgraded on my PHL-PVD leg. Yes, I'll be in first class for the whole 1 hr 15 minutes of the flight.

Transatlantic upgrades aren't automatic like that. They have to be manually done and certainly aren't the norm. They're really pushing the sale of GoEnvoy upgrades.

Packing update -- clothing is packed. Now I just have to take care of all the other stuff. And I've been drafted for tomorrow night's show. Eep!

Today, I am packing and running last minute errands. I hope to get to bed before midnight.

So are we doing a Cruise meet? I thought I saw something mentioned about that. Hopefully, somebody can repost so we know where to go.

The cruise meet is the first day at sea (Thursday) at the family pool at 2 p.m. Can't wait to meet all of you!

PS packing is quite the challenge. Since we are doing a quick hop from London to Barcelona, the weight requirements differ and we are only allowed 44 pounds per bag. I just could seem to get our bag under 45 pounds so... our goal of only two bags total is out the door and we had to add a garment bag! Oh well, less wrinkles I guess!

Just finishing our second day and starting to get over Jet Lag!

Those traveling with kids on Red Eye if the kids sleep good if they don't very very bad!

TDC & Improv DLP is fun but different it is a little ligh on detailing Phantom Manor is open! Has a western storyline it is different!

Rides I like better thenWDW Snow white & Big Thuder, Pirates & Phantom Manor are different !

Going tothe Studio tomorrow have done DLP, GOING TO PARIS SATURDAY! TDC I'm in room 2326 no problem for Walts on Sunday!

For those who want to know we will be arriving in BCN on Monday afternoon have fun till then I will check in when I can

Continental from Lindbergh to Newark, then off to Neverland! Uh..oh, I mean Paris!

Whoa, wait! Cruise meet first day at sea at 2:00? That's our massage schedule! Now I'm hoping you really are all slackers and will be there when we get done. We should be there no later than 3:00.

This is Buck4568 reporting under DS Dis account!!

Well, we have made it this far with only one small mishap (beside my manual transmission driving skills) we are still tracking down DD baggage that got lost somwhere between Miami and Barcelona.

The airline has the bag now and we are hoping it will be in Aix today! DD is not happy but dad warned family of this possibility and DD did pack an extra change of clothes in her carry on bag. It has been two days without her bag so spending some euros on replacement cloths and will file a claim on travel insurance. The airline was going to hold her bag until we returned to Barcelona next week and I told them that was not acceptable!

Heading of for Cassis on the coast for a day trip today!

all we scheduled on the thread is the meet on the first sea day, 2PM at the family pool area, no doubt we will get drinks and hang around awhile. Sail day was too crazy, the sail time was late and there was Barcelona for those of us who haven't seen it, and dinner and unpacking to worry about. We'll be on the same deck as the spa I think.

I don't have Palo that night, have it after Palermo.

Buck and family, lost luggage is , hope US Airways gets mine to Paris because I won't have a lot with me otherwise (although my Rodney shirt is in my carryon)

I will be leaving for the airport in a couple of hours so will see RJAYL at Walts on Sunday and everybody else at poolside! adieu
