June 23rd 2012 - Commandeering the Disney Fantasy - Pirates back in the Caribbean

Our flights will not arrive into MCO until 9pm- so dinner is out of the question. What is the best hotel at the port? Anyone else on this thread staying in a Cat T?

We are staying in a Cat T.

It's hard to believe that we are under 6 months. Just booked 2 one way rentals for before and after the cruise, with Budget. Less than $70 each time, for a full size SUV. Airfare is booked, pre-cruise stay at the Residence Inn is booked, courtesy of Marriott Reward points. The only painful thing left to do is pay off the cruise.

Luke :scared1:

Can I ask what airline you're flying? I'm coming from CT too but I haven't booked my flights yet because I want to go to WDW for a couple of days and I don't know yet whether it will be before or after the cruise. It all depends on when the last day of school ends up being (I'm a teacher). I've been checking out flight prices on Southwest and Jetblue and I'm not too impressed.

We are flying from White Plains on the 6:30pm flight. WP is very easy to fly from and only 15 minutes from home.

I think the cut off date is 75 days before sailing - so I would suspect that a spreadsheet of some sort will go out to the participants shortly after that for planning purposes. I am not in charge of this one -but it's how I believe things were discussed. :)

Thanks for the info :thumbsup2

Yes the port. We like Fishlips. What time are you arriving? I was thinking around 6.

I've never eaten at the port, except for breakfast, so that sounds great.

Due to a killer airfare deal from a small local airport into Sanford we are forced (LOL) to fly in on Thursday, so we are open to whatever works for the group

:guilty: :guilty:
Ahoy Capt'n. This crewmate is very sorry to say she'll not be shippin' out with the crew this trip. While a trip to WDW is doable, the expense of a cruise isn't in the cards this year. Here's hoping the crew has a marvelous time!

Please remove us form the FE list, and anything else I might have signed up for. Sigh.

So sorry you have to cancel. You will be missed! We are at WDW the week after and would love to meet up at some point

Wishing everyone a Very Happy, Healthy New Year!!

Good morning fellow cruisers. Another week has gone by.
We now have only

weeks to go to the Fantasy. :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Happy New Year!

One more cruise and then I can concentrate on this cruise. Just hoping that there are some 10 yo boys on this trip.

Hey all
Finally turning our attention to this trip to finish up planning:woohoo:

For those that did not see it on facebook, we managed to get really good airfare out of Dulles airport for June 21.
$200 roundtrip per person with United.

We'll be staying with DVC at WDW for 2 nights prior-but not sure where yet.

Not sure how we are getting to the port yet though or where we will be eating:confused3

Congrats on getting $200pp roundtrip.:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 Does United have bag fees? We are flying down on the 20th and staying somewhere in Orlando. Not sure if on or off Disney property.

Still on the wall on if we are going to be able to stay going on the cruise. :sad1: Between airfare, paying off the rest of the cruise and DH being unemployed for almost 8 months, things aren't looking so good. I just don't want to give up our cabin on the aft of the ship. :sad1:

Here is some pixiedust: for you that things go well for you in 2012 and able to join us in the caribbean. You still have a couple of months before the PIF date so hold on until then.

Thanks for the info but I am in central CT, so I'll be flying out of Bradley. See you on the ship! :)

When I visit my daughter there I use Southwest from Orlando International (MCO) to Bradley. She usually uses them too when she books travel to FL.

Yes, I always fly Southwest but I'm not too thrilled with the prices. I've been looking into Jet Blue also.

I wish I could find $200 just one way. I used points to get there and cannot find a ride with points to get home. The one way price is $240 to Fresno. Round trip was going to be $500.

Thanks:goodvibes
Yes, United charges $25 per checked bag. We have some pretty decent carry on bags so at most we would have 3 checked bags, maybe less.

:guilty:Not good Caro, we were looking forward to cruising with you guys again:sad2:
Hope things turn around and the airfare comes down for everyone:hug:
