June 22, 2013 FANTASY 7 night western cruise *UPDATE FE signup

Angie, we are soooo in the same boat. It seems like April 8th will never get here! Thank goodness we are only a first time crusier once :D For us the, the ruins in Costa Maya are our highest priority so I really hope that we get it, for the rest I'm not so worried about. We plan on doing Cozumel on our own, maybe do the Amazing Cozumel race and for Grand Cayman we want to do Stingray city and know there are some good non-Disney options if we can't book directly.

Yeah! We are closing in on the 100 day mark! :cool1:

Misery loves company :lmao: And you're right, we're only first timers once!!

I just checked and the only port adventures that aren't available are the cabanas on Castaway Cay. Everything else has availability. I can check again closer to April 8th if you'd like. My advice is to make sure you're on at midnight EDT on the 7th to be the first in line.

I know with the cabanas, people can release them and they'll show up for someone else to book. I'm not sure if the other excursions are like that, but I would think they would be. If you can't book ahead of time, get to the port adventures desk on the ship ASAP when you board. It's on the port side on deck 5 right next to the mid-ship elevators. You can be waitlisted for anything that is sold out and it's first-come, first-served if anyone cancels.

We'll be staying on board the entire cruise unless I get lucky and can get a cabana.

Thanks for the info! Might have to take you up on that as we approach the 8th, since you offered :goodvibes Nice of you!!

I usually get my Palo/Remy reservations first then if you want spa then port excursions. So far in past cruises I've always been able to get what I want except for brunch once. I was able to get that once boarding the ship however.

Good to know, thanks!!

I'm waiting for March 24th for our 90 day window. We have no delusions that we could get a cabana. Hoping for a Palo Brunch. We are still looking thru excursions to see what we can do as a family. 5 year olds limit your choices. :goodvibes

Happy Pi day! Ohh and BTW, today is the 100 day mark till the cruise, we are pumped. Anxious to hit Disney World for a fix in 2 weeks, but the cruise is our main focus. :goodvibes

The cabanas are amazing but with just the three of us not sure we will try. Last time the concierge was able to get us one after boarding. Guess someone backed out

SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!! Just made our final payment today. I have been very quiet on here because I wanted to be sure we were going to be able to cruise. Well we are so now it is time to plan plan plan.

In just a few days we can book excursions and Palo so will need to scope that out.

Then time to work on figuring out FE gifts. One question do we have a "name" or "logo" for our cruise group?

The person who started the thread had to back out of the cruise, so nobody can update the first post or change the name of the group, etc.

We can come up with a name if you guys want. My DW and I are celebrating our 20th anniversary on this cruise. I know of at least one birthday celebration as well. Let's start thinking of some names and we can vote as a group for our favorites.

I'll start: A 168 Hour Tour: We Came, We Sailed, We Conquered

My birthday will be while on board too, I think it falls on Pirate night pirate: Argghhh!

For the group name how about: Castaway Buccaneers!

My sons birthday is when we are inboard too, the 28th...is that pirate night? So we are celebrating that and the fact that and the fact that June is about the mid point from when he turned the big 4-0 in Feb and when it turn it in Sept.

Like the name suggestions, I got nothing :-)

As long as it's not "dodging the hurricane" I'm good with it.

Pirate night is Cozumel day, which is Wednesday the 26th.

Hello all. We will also be on the cruise. Yea!!! It's will be my DH, DD 8, DS 5 to 6, and myself. My son will also be celebrating his birthday onthe cruise. It's June 27th. This is our 2nd cruise and 1st time to participate in the FE.

Has anyone set up a Facebook page? For our last few cruises someone had and had more action than here and was a way to "see" who you were cruising with. I do not know how to do it or I would set it up.
Anyone with teens on this cruise? My son will be 17 in may

I don't know if anyone's done anything with FB. I don't "do" FB, so I'd have to ask that anything pertinent needs to be shared here as well.

My DS turns 17 in July.

My 20th anniversary is also June 27th, which is the reason for us booking this cruise.

I just paid in full today and our fare went down $14.61 for some reason. We used DU and my total cost was always $5092 from the day I booked it. Now it's $5077. Hey, that's 2 drinks! Anyone know why?

Maybe some lower port fees?

Taxes, that was what I was told when I booked transportation from resort to PC and back. I think, government taxes?

Hi all,

I have a quick question. I will be doing this cruise with just my 3 kids. Not sure if we will be on another cruise again (however, I am keeping my fingers crossed!) I see all reservations being booked for Palo or Remy and would also love to do it, but has anyone ever done it as a single person?

Since my beloved died, it's been hard to see, or even be around, other couples. Should I skip it, because I'm pretty sure that couples will be all I see there?

Or will I be able to enjoy the food via room service, thereby skipping the stress I would definitely go through, sitting there, all by myself.

Sorry to be such a downer in such a happy place!

I might be wrong, but I think you can only get it via rooms service in concierge right? I can't speak for you as I am lucky enough to still be with the love of my life, but that said, I think if I were in your shoes my spouse would love it if I went for the experience. Remy is hard to put in words, but it was the highlight of my last cruise. Whatever you decide, I hope you guys have a great time. If you need a date I'd be happy to eat with you at Remy, actually I would have to send my wife, she likes it more than I do.

Gloria, I'm very sorry for your loss. We chose not to try Palo or Remy on this trip, but if you would like to have lunch meetup one day while the kids are in the club, I'd be happy to join you.

I went ahead and created a FB group if anyone is interested. PM me and I'll sent you the details. We'll make share we share equally on here. Almost to the 3 month mark!

If you're interested, I can talk to my DW about joining you. Maybe you can have a ladies group for lunch one day. We're not doing any excursions, so any day is good.
