I noticed these two dates are blocked out for some APs when the remaining week days in June are not? Wondering if these would be good days to plan on going or is something else going on those days?

Those blackout dates have come up in past years (at least since 2010), and I don't think anyone's really ever figured out why. There hasn't been any splashy promotions or start of things on those days in the past.

There is a convention at the Anaheim convention center those days(Vidcon)
I don't think it really has anything to do with VidCon. Last year was the first year when VidCon and those blockouts have overlapped.

It's just the dates Disney chose to blockout. They used to blockout other dates in June too, but over time they have adjusted their schedules to fit crowds, but the APs are still blocked the same number of days. I expect those two days to be lighter in attendance than the rest of the week, but still summer crowds. We will be there all next week.

ETA: The following week has lower crowd predictions based on previous attendance, however crowd calendars have been horrible the last few years.

What do you mean when you say crowd calendars have been horrible?

They have been especially incorrect the last two years. Disney has been changing things up with some changes to the AP calendars, the tiered pricing, the way they did the 3-day So Cal tickets, etc. and so it is much too difficult for websites to predict the crowds because things have changed. Historically Memorial Day weekend and Easter should have been slammed. Instead the Saturday and Sunday of Memorial day weekend were very light with only the Monday (non blocked day) being slammed. Similar at Easter with the weekend days being less crowded than the midweek days.

That is what I would expect. In fact, we are planning a first trip with GDD3 in 2018 and those are the days I am planning. Grad nights are over and blackouts are starting. Should bump crowds down a notch.
