June 2025 Refurbs

California Adventure

None as of now.
Soarin is down to 1/2 capacity. Only one side of Soarin is operating which is causing double the wait time and LL run out much earlier. One side is working. The one side refurb will be done by the end of June. Then work will be done on the other side and that will be complete by the end of August.


Disneyland


Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room: April 28 to ???
According to the Orange County Register, the entire attraction is getting updated and the trees in the waiting area are being rebuilt and refurbed and the refurb will be a few months. I suspect Tiki Room will be down a minimum of 2 months but possibly up to 3 months or longer. Expect a July or August Reopening...or at the best case scenario by the end of June/before July 4th.

Chip 'n' Dale's GADGETcoaster: May 19 to June 12. Reopens June 13.
Expect a 3 to 4 week refurb.

The Disney Gallery: Reopens on July 17th.

Matterhorn Bobsleds: May 5 to ???
My sources say a minimum of 2 months. Expect a July opening date or worst case early August.

The Disneyland Story presenting Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln: Reopens on July 17th with the new Walt Disney exhibit.

See Tinker Bell in Pixie Hollow: Supposedly reopens June 1.
Back on refurb through June 12.
I do not trust this since Disneyland keeps pushing the date out. Stay tuned.

I will update accordingly when new information becomes available.

Thank you. I was really hoping for Matterhorn to re-open by July 4th. Once they delayed the refurb start date, I was fearful it might push deeper into July. I will remain hopeful it might re-open around early July, which would still be about 2 months!

I hope Matterhorn reopens by then for you. I will miss Matterhorn for my May trip but I have a late August trip so I will ride it then.

So sad abou Tiki Room. Was looking forward to a cool escape on my early June trip. Also a bit devo about Matterhorn, but just glad Haunted Mansion is going to be open. I've been to DL 3 times in my life and its been either closed or the NBC version.

Starting to turn into the “temporary” green building in the Tomorrowland entrance that’s been there since before Covid….

I just have to assume with the Tinker bell area its because they don't want to pay the actors and CM's to be in that area

They have very much cut Entertainment in the entire park and think this is just apart of that...maybe it opens during the 70th....maybe it doesn't but I'm not holding my breathe at this point. Freshbaked is there weekly and he doesn't hear or see any signs anything is happening in the area

Sucks Matterhorn and Tiki Room are down during the first months of the 70th

I know most people will be upset at the Matterhorn closing which to be fair..I bet its why Pirates still has LL because they keep closing rides with LL like Indy....Small World...HM etc and want to keep LL value higher so they can sell more and having Pirates on there is just another ride

But I wish the Tiki Room was open...its about to get hot and its a perfect place to relax and one of the only shows in Disneyland left....only the Princess shows are left as a real sit down show for Disneyland

Starting to count myself lucky that our June trip got pushed back to early August. Of course, when the Haunted Mansion goes down for the Christmas overlay during part of it, I may feel differently.

Tinkerbell is a single character. If they wanted to eliminate her, they could change the area into something like Journey of Water at EPCOT. Who knows, maybe that is what they are doing.

So sad about Matterhorn being down . Going late May and it'll be my two daughters first time in Disneyland and it was high on the list.

I dont want any rides to be down.....but I could choose one E ticket to be down...its Matterhorn

I know they can't because of laws but just wish they could make the ride more....fun to ride. Its just so bumpy and the seats are just not comfortable to me

Space, Incredicoaster and Big Thunder to me are just better coasters and rides and rather them be up then switch one out for matterhorn,

Not sure completely but people have said it's typically 14-17 days before the start of Halloween. That would place it going down around August 4th and going back up on the 22nd. We're there the 2-6 and it sucks we'll maybe get 2 days if we're lucky.
