June 2017 Disneyland Check In!!!

Going June 26th to the 28th! really want to stay at Disneyland Hotel does anyone know when they release their summer booking deals?

From both what I've read and what I've observed, any discounts won't start showing up until 1-3 months prior to the dates. I've been looking almost daily at not only the June rates, but then backing up and looking at weeks prior. From what I've seen, most of the "Enchanted" discounts seem to start showing up 4-6 weeks before the date and are during the "slow" weeks (e.g. end of January). If you have your heart set on DLH but aren't sure whether you want to pay the current price, you might consider making a reservation for hotel only (which can be canceled with deposit refunded unlike a package deal with hotel plus tickets). Then, keep watching the rates. If they go down, just call Disney and they can apply the new rate to your reservation. With the construction at GCH and the new longer walk from PPH, DLH may book earlier than in the past. Something to consider at least.

I looked into LAX, Burbank, and Ontario but really just couldn't rationalize the extra travel time/hassle for them. Especially since they weren't cheaper. I did search some flights and none of those were really any better anyway, unfortunately. I plan to blog in the near future about our flight options. I'm off to search again now and write down any possibilities to show my husband later.

Updated! I'm glad you could add that extra day. And I would guess FBLA teens are probably some of the more mature and responsible teens to be at the park!

Haha yes they are a responsible group but tyhey are still teens.
We went in 2013 which is the last time FBLA was there and I have to admit they were pretty good.

I should have added the caveat that it's 5 months if they don't add days on at the end of the school year. We've missed like 6 days due to snow and ice... but hopeful it's still 5 months away and won't have to be changed to August instead!

Booked airfare about a week and a half ago.
Prices have jumped much higher since so I'm glad I did.

2015 was a good year for me, haha. I think it was Jan/Feb, July, and Dec. I think our dates were close back then, too, maybe for the one at the beginning of the year?

You in Portland, OR area? Lots of snow and ice there. We've had a ton of rain here. I'm hoping this drought will finally be over.

Salem, so not as much, but still a lot of snow/water for our area. Our school district has a few schools at a higher elevation, and if one school isn't safe/clear, the whole district is canceled... which meant we had 2-3 days off for no reason near our neighborhood school. Hubby is a teacher, so it impacts us more--not just pulling DD out a few days early.

Hey party people! We are so excited to be heading to Disneyland for the very first time in June! So far 2 of my 3 waitlisted nights for VGC have matched and I am keeping my hopes alive for the third night. So as it stands now, June 4-6: VGC and June 7-8: Homeless. Just kidding - thinking about booking the Park Vue or possibly springing for a night at the Disneyland hotel depending on whether they have an offer come out for my date.

We will be visiting Aulani and Kauai before hitting Disneyland and I am so excited and cannot wait! We are on year 3 of WDW annual passes and I am so looking forward to seeing Walt's park. Happy planning! Glad I found this thread

It's so exciting to be heading to DL for the first time! And how fun to be going to Aulani and Kauai first! I'm going there first too... but I'm going to Hawaii in February then DL in June haha. I hope your third night matches! Our last 3 nights matched and I'm really hoping we can stretch it out for one or two more nights before. If we only need to pay for one night I think I can convince hubby that one night at the Disneyland Hotel isn't unreasonable- especially for my birthday lol.

Have fun in Hawaii. It's one of our favorite places we've been. We've never done Aulani, but have been to Oahu twice and Hawaii once. We'd love to go back and spend more time on Hawaii and maybe hop to one or two of the other islands one of these days.

Yeah...I think that's why your name seems so familiar. I think we may have gone around the same time. We were there the first week of February 2015.

We are waiting until the end of February to book airfare. Well, we had booked one flight when we thought we were going in February. So I have a $500 credit on SWA I have to use before September 1st. But we are waiting to book our new flights until the end of February because we'll be spending an additional $700 or so. And I'd like those credits to not expire until late February 2018 in case we need to reschedule or something. If we can't make it in June, we will probably plan for February 2018. We'd lose that $500 but we'd at least have that $700 to use.

Hopefully we can just make this June trip work though! I am keeping my fingers crossed that the flights I like don't go up too much in price since they are already a bit pricey.
