We are planning a trip in early June (probably 5th)-11th. When I searched via Disney's website, there were no standard rooms at most of the Deluxe resorts that can sleep 5 people. Is there something going on or are people really booking this far ahead of time? I've gone 3 times in the last 10 years and have never had a problem booking in August for the following June. I guess I should book a Moderate room ASAP?

If you haven't already, try again as there might have been a glitch when you looked. I just plugged in your dates of June 5-11 on the Disney website and found lots of availability. For the monorail resorts, the CR had GW rooms as well as standard tower rooms available and both the Poly and GF had standard rooms available. For the Epcot resorts, BWI showed availability for standard rooms and the YC had GV/woods view available. Good luck.

I unfortunately, want a "standard room" without any views due to my budget. Poly & GF are out of my budget. I could do CR or BC if they had any standard rooms, but alas, that's not happening. I will keep trying for now. I think I'll just book POR and hope for cancellations at CR or BC/YC standard rooms.

Good luck. I hope something becomes available for your dates :wizard:.

That's probably during Star Wars Weekends, for which the dates have not been announced yet. If you are looking at BC or YC, I think those are popular during SWW, since they are convenient to DHS. There will probably be a discount during that time. There was this year and last year. I don't like to rely upon that, but that may make it possible to swing a non-standard view room. I am really surprised that stuff is already booked so far in advance. I have never seen that happen, but we have only stayed at Poly and POR. I plan on going during that time, but we will stay at POR. POR seemed to have plenty of availability, but it's pretty big. I haven't booked our room yet, but maybe I need to think about doing that. I guess I should check availability at POR just in case. Good luck.

The Boardwalk Inn shows some standard view availability for $449, but I don't know if that's within your budget. I think it's a little more expensive than BC/YC. There's Wilderness Lodge, but they are going to be doing construction. After staying at Poly during construction, I would avoid WL like the plague for a while.

I called in late May to try to book a standard view room at Beach Club for the same time period next June and they were completely booked up way back then.

Do they just not have very many standard view rooms at BC and YC? That just seems really insane. However, I guess since they are near Epcot and DHS and deluxe category, that could really drive the popularity up, especially for the cheapest rooms. Wow!

I have a feeling they save some rooms and do not release them right away ?

I am looking for the same days plus one. We will check in on the 4th. I have found standard rooms in all Deluxe with that extra day. I am pricing everything.

We are going in the third week of June, 2016, and there were no standard or Garden rooms available at BC. We got the last Garden room at YC (after we booked, they showed as sold out). I'm surprised so many people are booking that far in advance, but it makes me glad we are doing so!
