June 2016- Closures?

Hey all,

We are planning a trip to DL June 23-28th. I am noticing that people are mentioning hefty closures, for the build of Star Wars Land.. Does anyone know what all is affected? We are planning on going for my sons 4th birthday and want to ensure prior to booking, that the main/key areas of their interest won't be made unavailable.

The Rivers of America (Tom Sawyers Island, Mark Twain, Columbia, and Canoes), Fantasmic!, and the Railroad closed on Sunday (1/11) as part of the prep work for Star Wars Land. They are expected to be closed for at least a year. Other than that, they haven't announced any closures for Star Wars Land.

DLR doesn't usually announce their refurbishment schedules very far in advance. The operating calendar is usually posted about 45-day/6-weeks in advance, with information added/removed at any point.

Disneyland doesn't really release closure information this far out, but for sure the train, Mark Twain, Tom Sawyer's Island, the canoes and Fantasmic are all down for about 18-24 months for the start of construction on Star Wars Land.

Anything that will be closed for refurb in late June probably won't be announced until May.

Generally speaking late June through mid-August are not heavy closure times as they are very busy times. As mentioned above, expect the train and anything along the river to be closed.

I'll be there right at the start of June and while it's pretty clear those things will be closed, what are the odds that the some other "Spring/Summer 2016" items will be back up like the Frozen show that will replace Aladdin and Soarin as around the world?
