So we're planning to book our trip in August. But i'm wondering if thats gonna be to early to get any type of deal? Our travel agent said if any promotions came out she'd apply them to our trip. But i'm just wondering since it's the beginning of the "summer" if they are going to be less likely to have promotions for this time, and we're going to end up with rack rate.

We don't care much either way, we're going. But i'd REALLY love to not pay full price if I don't have too.

I think your chances are pretty good for some sort of discount for June of next year. Depending on which resort you want, you may have to be flexible as sometimes certain resorts/room types are excluded from promos, but I think something will be offered (just my opinion, though). With that said, here is a link from mousesavers of discounts that have been offered the last couple of years. It lists the discount, the dates the discount was offered, and when it was released:

Thank you for the site Looks like we might be able to get lucky and have a small package discount, which is better than nothing. We have two resorts in mind, so if we have to change for an offer that is not to big of a deal. Unfortunately we can't be too flexible with our dates because we're planning on purchasing a house/ vacation time from jobs/ etc. But that's okay, we know that we might have to sacrifice a discount for that so we're prepared.

ETA: We actually should be fine with our dates. We're planning to go the very first week of June, and from looking at that site. History shows they have usually included offers up until June 14th, then started a new offer after that. Just hope Disney doesn't decide to completely change their deals for 2015 haha.

I agree, I think you should be fine going the beginning of June (as far as a discount). That link doesn't give specifics as far as the amount of the discount for each resort, but it does give you an idea of what was offered during that time .

We are looking at July 2015 as well, so hopefully there will be some decent discounts .

We're looking at June/July 2015 as well. Waiting and trying to predict the possible discounts based on past discounts is giving me anxiety! LOL

Also looking at the first week of June, 2015 and of staying at a Deluxe resort for the first time. I'm totally experiencing sticker shock at the moment!

We've always stayed at moderates and gone during November or early December and had free dining. I know that's not going to happen in June (and DH is not going to be happy) but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a June room or package discount!

I've been researching like crazy, and from what it looks like from the past there will definitely be some kind of room only/package discount for the first week of June. And from what I gathered deluxes as usually around 30% off room/package. So its looking good for you

I wish there was FD in June, it make me alottttt happier haha. I really don't wanna pay for the DP but my FI is adamant about purchasing it. But i'll be happier with any sort of discount at this point! I'd like to add on an extra day, or even MAYBE consider a deluxe if the price is right.
