i was booked via the current promo @ ASMu for 6 nights beginning 6/8 for $744, room only. Will activate PAP then, don't need tix or really interested in DP.

Saw today that orbitz has 20% promo (see the website for all details but it's good thru 6/20) and it's working in conjunction with disney sale.

I could've had existing res for $127 less but opted to upgrade to CBR, prime example of disney math

will still look for my '1st' pin code and maybe AP rates but don't think i'm going to beat this deal!

Interesting...I just ran my dates for September through Orbitz and ASMu; AoA; and Wilderness Cabin are all significantly cheaper through them. Orbitz was about $15/night cheaper for ASMU; about $60/night cheaper at a Wilderness Cabin and about $30/night cheaper at AoA.

Weird - we are having to add a night at beginning of trip because of airfare. We are going to stay at a value resort and then move to POR. If I put in two adults it is cheaper, but when I add my two kids it makes it the same as Disney site. Oh well!

fyi, was able to verify my new reservation # on the disney site today via the page to link reservations there to your account. I'm going to call in on monday to add ME and cancel existing res.

if you're referring to purchasing room via orbitz, you have opportunity to purchase tix from them before final checkout or you could go thru mousesavers newsletter link with UT. Note you cannot add the DP to this sort of reservation thru disney via a package, it's strictly a room-only reservation.

Ok, so I could add tickets from them but not add dining. Would the tickets be the same price as the tickets from WDW. I would love to get free dining, but if it is not going to happen (with a pin) then I can not justify the price of it. If I calculated right, the Orbitz price would save me about $190. When does the special end?

you'd need to check the date on their website along with all the details, think it was next tuesday.

tix seemed to be a bit less than WDW. i wouldn't buy the tix from them unless you're 100% sure you won't 'jump ship' for a better deal that 'may' appear directly from WDW. Never know, you could get a pin, free dining, whatever. UT tourist has good prices. I did hear rumblings about tix prices increasing early this year.

the nice thing about this promo is even though i had to pay it all upfront, it's fully refundable withing the stated cancellation period.

Not crazy about having to prepay entire stay, as we have a one night deposit with wdw now which I will have to cancel if we go ahead with the Orbitz, but for the savings would be worth it...

Note: got my own answer by "chatting with Orbitz"...the answer is yes you can use Magical Express...

Jewels...I think that answer is "no" since you would be getting a discounted room rate and booking it with a third party (Orbitz) rather than with Disney directly...free dining requires you to pay rack rate for the room and discounts can not be combined. You could always cancel this Orbitz reservation in the event that Free Dining came out, and rebook directly with WDW. I also priced the theme park tickets through Orbitz and does not look like any savingsl, so if we do this offer we will wait and buy them when we arrive. We do not like to pre-pay unless a discount is offered!

You are unable to get free dining if you book through a third party.

Just an FYI that there is a thread that I was reading yesterday that says that if you go through ebates, you can get cash back on orbitz, even with the spring20 code. Folks were using it for rooms and/or park tickets. Good luck!

I tried to plug in dates with Orbitz yesterday and for the room it was about a $190 discount, but when I added tickets it came out to only a savings of $77. I am not sure I would switch for that much. I am still hoping for that free dining pin.

yep, just need to call WDW. You can do online checkin too, just need to select booked as a group & have your confirmation number

Just cancelled our WDW room only ressie and re-booked with Orbitz with the 20% off sale...instead of pocketing the savings which is of course the smart thing to do, we decided to upgrade from POP to POFQ. Can't wait

Thanks...will do...I am just thankful for any discount...the Orbitz room is 100% refundable up to a few days B4 arrival...did not do tickets with them...it was not a savings...
