June 2012 code watch?

Me too!!! Are there any hints as to how to be "given" a code, I have read a few, like go to the Disney site and save some vacation offers, etc...
I just would LOVE to get anything!!! Do people typically get a code after they have already booked?

Ditto! I need to know if going ahead and booking with help us get codes! We were going to wait it out to book because exact dates/how long we stay/dining plans/etc...will depend on what codes we can get. We are flexible until October when DH has to pick his vacation days for work!

I feel booking this early will decrease discounts available to the general public. Think about it... if rooms are already booking well, what incentive does Disney have to give any codes/PINs? You can book, and you're welcome to do so, but I think booking this early will give Disney information about how full the hotels will be, and therefore gives them less reason to provide discounts.

I'm holding out for some kind of discount before I'll even entertain the idea of staying on property. Frankly, staying offsite is looking better all the time.

Came back to add: Disney isn't sending out PINs for 2012 yet anyway, so booking now isn't going to get you a PIN. Maybe after Jan 1, but not at this point. In my experience PINs seem to come out within a few weeks/months of the dates they want you to visit. So PINs right now are going out for Sept/Oct.

How does this code watching work? Do we book so we get the hotel we want and then whenever there's a cheaper deal we can just call and get it discounted?

It looks like we will have to wait yet again for another discount. The new FD rumor that is out on another thread has no free dining for April-July 2012. We will have to hope for a pin or a room only discount.

If they extend Free Dining in 2012, I don't think it's going to extend into June. I just noticed that the cost of the dining plan for 2012 goes up $2 on 6/1/12. My guess would be, if they extend the free dining, it will only go up to 5/31/12. Maybe we'll get some type of room discount for June.

We are also hoping to go in June 2012 for my son's hs graduation... when asked where he wanted to go - his response shocked and pleased all of us - WDW!!! I would love to stay at the BC but we are also looking at Riverside - we are a family of 5 (6, 16, 17). Hoping for a % off room to help make BC more affordable. Any suggestions?

Its probably going up due to holiday pricing. Many of the buffets go up during busy "holiday" periods as does the cost of the DDP. There was a pin code for free dining for June and also a gp offer that ended pretty early (think you had to check in by the 2nd for that general public offer).

There have been other fd offers during "holiday" periods when the DDP is priced higher. So you never know.

I am not ruling out June for fd, I got it this year and I hope I get it next year too!

Well, i got another Pin Code for this fall that I can't use. Man why do I feel like they don't want us to come for sumer 2012... Seriously, I hope the next announcement later this month is some more 2012 deals. I mean I love FD and a room only % off pin would be nice too but hey let's not forget about the buy 4 get 3 deal that was back in 2009! (I Think) Remember that one though?

Subscribing to this thread! Just booked Jun 4-7, but with 3 kids whose eyes are bigger than their stomachs (and who usually won't eat whatever they've ordered) I'm praying for FD I would be happy with any discount though!

We're hoping for a June discount of ANY kind. Our DS is graduating and we're celebrating at DW for 11 nights, plus 3 at HRH/Universal prior to DW. I just ran the numbers and I'd LOVE to have a discount....please!!!!!!!!!

I called today to make a payment ~ I asked if she knew when a deal might be released for June, and she said it was a bit early, but to look for something at the end of the month (which really is now) or next month. And if nothing comes up, then something should be announced by Nov/Dec. I know they don't really KNOW, but it made me feel good and feel a little hopeful that something will come out, lol. Now IF I have to wait until Dec, I hope the announcement at least comes out before I can make my dining reservations!

I haven't decided exactly when I want to go next year, but the first week of June is a big possibility. I am definitely on the lookout for a good June discount! This year we went in May. I made my reservation in October without a discount. If I recall corretly, the public discounts came out in December and I had that discount applied to my reservation. This was the first time I booked without a pin.
