June 2011: So Much To Celebrate!!

Hi everyone! I can't believe that our trip is coming up so quickly! However, I am still undecided. I have never been 18 days away from a Disney trip (:yay: I can't believe it is that soon) and not have my ADRs finalized. My ADRs have changed. After many days, weeks, and months of religiously checking www.disneyworld.com and the June Cancellation thread, I finally found a good Yak & Yeti ADR. So here are our new ADRs (we are still undecided on some):

Day 1: June 4: AK
Yak & Yeti: 12pm
Boma: 7:10pm

Day 2: June 5: MK
Chef Mickey: 7:30am
California Grill: 5:45pm

Day 3: June 6: HS
Mama Melrose: 1pm- I am thinking of cancelling this one and doing CS for lunch.
Ohana: 5pm
Teppan Edo: 8:10pm

Day 4: June 7: Epcot
1900 Park Fare: 8:10am
Teppan Edo: 6:50pm
Teppan Edo: 7:30pm
Tutto Italia: 7:35pm
Via Napoli: 7:45pm

Day 5: June 8: Waterparks
no ADRs

I now feel good about the first two days. If we could get a California Grill a little that would be great but I am happy. However, day 3 and 4 are a mess. I have been wanting to try Ohana for the longest time but it is a little early for us and we would have to leave early from HS to get there on time. Is it worth it? For Day 4, we haven't been to Via Napoli and haven't been to Tutto Italia in a while. I don't know which way to go?!?! I would truly appreciate your help and advise on what to do.

On a side note..... my daughter is graduating from high school next week and I am planning her a party. Now, when I say party I mean strictly family going out to a nice restaurant. We have family flying in for her graduation so we are going out to a nice restaurant that she loves and I have a special surprise planned. I have been wanting to tell someone so I'm going to tell you! My daughter loves to watch DC Cupcakes on TLC. She has always wanted to try their cupcakes but since we aren't planning on going to DC anytime soon she didn't think that she would. However, I researched it and found out that DC Cupcakes ships their cupcakes all across the US. So, for dessert I ordered 2 dozen cupcakes (no way are we going to eat all of them at dinner but I wanted her to have a choice of flavors) from Georgetown Cupcakes for her graduation party. Do you think she will like it?!?

DAY 1 SCHEDULE: June 4,2011
We are arriving today. Since we are Florida residents and only live about 2.5 hours away from Disney World we will be driving. As many of you know things don't always turn out as planning but my goals is to leave at 6am. I will pack some fruit or something for the car ride as a snack.

Breakfast: We will stop at our local bagel shop and get some bagels (and coffee for me) to go. We will grab our breakfast before we get on the turnpike but will eat it sometime on the way.

I would like to drive to Orlando with no stops but most likely we will make one bathroom break along the way. My goal is pass the Walt Disney World "gate" by 9am. I truly hope we don't get there that much later. Lets cross our fingers.

Since we are staying at the Contemporary Resort we will check in there. I don't expect our room to be ready (it would be lovely if it was) so we will leave our bags there and get ready to tackle our first park of the trip!! Any guesses?!?!

Going once, going twice... okay I'll tell you..... We are going to Animal Kingdom!

I want to try to get as much done as possible.

Lunch: Yak & Yeti: 12pm- I am really looking forward to this as it will be our first time trying Yak & Yeti!

We will continue touring AK. The park doesn't close until 6pm. We will slowly make our way out of AK and make our way to the next destination.

Dinner: Boma: 7:10pm- We love Boma and have been many times. We will probably get there early and will be able to explore the resort a little before dinner.

After dinner we will take the bus back to MK and walk to the Contemporary. Depending on the time, we may have a late night swim or maybe we will postpone our return to the Contemporary and go to DTD for a little bit. We will play this part by ear and see how everything goes.
