We're going the first week of June when the kids get out of school. Last time we went it was DS's last day of Kindergarten so it's only fair that we go back to celebrate DD's last day of K, right? :cool1:

So who's in? Let's keep each other company until we can start booking in a couple of months.:dance3:

I'll join you! Although, I will say, I am hoping for the end of May, as we have a cruise at the end of June...not to mention, it may me a "Mommy and Daughter" trip for me and my oldest. I asked my DH if I could do something like this, and he said, "of course, that would be a blast!" So, I am thinking a quick trip to have a day at MK, day at AK, and then maybe a "spa/shopping" day. I just need all the cards to align correctly!

So, come on pins, discounts, anything! :goodvibes

Ohh, and It will be the ending of her 1st year of K too!!!! So, yes, definitely a reason to celebrate!

Jeanette, we are too. We were there last year but just couldn't fit it in. This year we're definately going to make it happen!

Just back from our vacation ...
The last week of May and first week of June is GREAT !!!!!!!
We will be going back again for Spring Break with the band next year but if we can we will try to do Star Wars Weekends in 2011 !!!!!!

Count us in the group looking for discounts !!

Count me in. We are going this year with a pin code for free QS dining. Hoping for same next year. We actually check-in on July 1st, but June or July is OK because of school being out. :cool1::thumbsup2

We just returned on the 12th of June but already planning for next year...

Count us in.... I am HOPING pixiedust: that I am able to get the first or second week of June for my 25th Escape Vow Renewal.... So here is to hoping there is some good deals, pins or free dining.... and of course a DATE during this time....

Count me in! I usually find deals for June in early February, but that seems so far away. We just got back Monday, but I am already ready to go back!

Looks like we'll be going in June for a GG. I've been so focused on our trip this August that I wasn't paying any attention to the June info. It feels weird to be planning for a totally unfamiliar month.

What discounts are typically offered?
When are they typically announced?
How are temps?
How are crowds?
Is SWW worth the crowds? (Two die hard SW fans in our family.)
How can I search for June related posts?

TIA!

Discounts offered in June vary. We have everything from 35% room, buy 4 get 3 free to free dining with pin. Early February is when I usually find the discounts for June. Temps are typically low to mid 90's early June may even have some mid to high 80's. You will probably have a pop up storm a few days of your trip and although sometimes they last a couple of hours they usually stop by the time you get off your next ride. Crowds are pretty heavy but we just got back from a mid June trip and the crowds were lower than when we have been there late May to early June. The crowd calendar for our trip was 5-7. The lines app through touringplans.com helped us a lot. We used that and never waited more than 20 min in line. If a ride had a wait longer than that we would check back later and the wait would be shorter and we would go then. We also stuck to the general rule of thumb of hitting the headliners early in the day.
SWW is a blast! We usually spend one afternoon for that. Since we know the crowds will be insane we know we aren't there for rides during that time so we don't waste a morning on it. Surprisingly star tours had a 10 min wait when we were there for SWW. You have to go to Hyperspace Hoopla at 7pm on SWW, it's hysterical and a lot of fun!
You can search for posts and threads for June. Sometimes it takes me on a wild goose chase, but other times I find what I am looking for. Maybe someone else will have more advice on that.
Enjoy joining the June crowd!
BTW-our last trip was our most relaxing and enjoyable one yet and we have been in Feb. as well. There are ways around the crowds. We also stayed at POFQ which had no crowds at all. No waiting for food, etc.:)

Sorry I forgot to delete their questions at the bottom I was using that to make sure I didn't forget to address anything.

Thank you for such a great, detailed response! Our upcoming trip is in honor of my DIL's 50th anniversary. While my DH is excited to mark the occasion with his parents, he's apprehensive about lines, heat and our 4th trip in 4 years. But he is a believer in arriving early to maximize the time so that's going to make sense to him. And the advice about SWW and not wasting a morning is really invaluable. I'll make to sure to check the thread in case you remember any other great nuggets of information.

Thanks again for your time. Maybe we'll see each other next June.

We have a trip planned for Dec 22-26 of this year, but it looks like we may have to move it back and June would be the month we had in mind. Went in 06 and enjoyed it a lot. The lines weren't to long and wasn't too hot. It would be our second trip to the world. So put me down as a possible.

I wanna wait in here too!!

We went last June as our first family trip to the World and we wern't supposed to go back this year - DH wanted to try something a little more "educational" so I had booked a trip to Washington, DC - and then 3 weeks before the trip, he said.."Cancel DC, lets go to Disney"!!

:scared1:

So, I had 3 weeks to book a trip - we were just there June 11-16!! I got the hotel & room we wanted at WL and some fantastic dining and I told DH that the "suprise" trip this year wont negate the "I've already been planning the next trip in June 11'", but so far he's saying it is....:sad2:...but Im holding out - DH loves Disney ALMOST as much as me - and our 2 boys, 11 and 8 will help me wear him down!!

DH and I have already discussed a new hotel for the next trip - and have it narrowed down to either Poly or the BC - my boys are super excited about the slide at the BC and Im excited b/c we do a lot of dinners at Epcot and you can walk right over there...

Here's a question for you guys: since discounts for June dont come out until Feb-ish, do you guys already know when you want to go and do you book your ADR's 180 days out (which would be like December) or do you wait until the discounts come out?

BRING ON JUNE 2011!!

Count me in too, maybe.:confused3 We want to go back to celebrate my dd's 8th grade graduation and our 15th anniversary. But I have some questions, 1st what is a pin code and how do you get one? We have been to WDW twice in the last 2 years but have always stayed off-site. :scared1: I know but I always found such awesome deals on hotels that I couldn't pass up. Since this would be our first time going during peak season I thought staying on-site might be better. Well I guess that was my only question until something else pops into my head!;)

I'm so glad we're getting more people on this thread. Reminds me that its getting closer and closer!

How many are planning on doing the DDP in June? I think I'm really going to do a strict side by side comparison this time. We had it last time and swore we'd never go without it, more for the convenience than cost savings, but I may consider the gift card option this time so I still have that convenience of it being paid but may not be quite as expensive and SO much food.

There are also rumors that the dining plan is changing-dropping the dessert and going up in price. So it may not be much of a deal next year.

UGH!!! that would not be good at all!! Here's hoping its just an ugly rumor!!

:scared:
