Our travel party consists of myself, DS(8), and DM(60's). Our first DCL cruise but DM and I took Carnival cruise several years ago.
Arrived at MCO on Fri. 18th, Tiffany Towncar driver there and waiting for us, helped with baggage and off we go to the Radisson. Arrived at about 1:30 and had some lunch. Scoped out the pool which was very crowded and could not find any chairs. Decided to instead walk a block over and play mini-golf. This was lots of fun and saw the Goodyear Blimp pass over. Later that evening walked next door to a restaurant(can't remember the name) and ate supper. Was not very impressed with the meal, don't think I could recommend this place.
Had an 11:00 shuttle reservation the next morning, arrived at front lobby about 10:35 and put right on a leaving shuttle with another pulling up at the same time. Had absolutely no problems with this service.
Arrived at check-in around 11:00 and the line was very long, could not believe how fast it moved, no problems here, either. Boarded the ship ,I think, around 12:30, had our first view of the beautiful atrium. Not in a rush for any ressies, so just a leisurely look around and then up to sign in to Oceanear's Lab, got done there very quickly. We had worn our bathing suits under our clothes so went up to Mickey Pool and DS swam and did water slide with no crowds. Had Topsiders for lunch by the pool and enjoyed just being finally on the ship.
DS checked into Lab later while we went to room and unpacked. Room 5520 is great, very little obstruction in front of porthole. This is a great deal on a room, would highly recommend this. I would suggest a noisemaker to drown out neighboring room noise, though.
We had 2nd seating with APL rotation, our servers were Sachin and Pietre, who did a fabulous job all week, even if we were usually one of the last tables leaving every night. Almost always got done around 10:15.
Will do a condensed version of rest of week on another thread, not very computer savvy, unsure how to attach them all. If you have any questions, will try to help.

was this the radisson at the port? were you able to check in early? we are staying there in september and our flight arrives 9:55 Am on friday-have some time to kill if we can't check in until 4pm. thanks

Yes, it was Radisson at the Port. We checked in with no problem around 1:30 on Friday. it did look very crowded around the pool area.

Aliwas...the resturant next to the Raddison that you didn't like, was that the Greek resturant ? We'll be there next week ( 7/9 ) and Iwas wondering where to eat other than McDonalds. We won't have a car.:wave: :wave:

Magic Cruiser;
We ate at the Greek restaurant the morning before we boarded the ship. My husband felt the same way-no McDonalds! The breakfast there was good, as is the breakfast at the IHOP further down A1A. Dinner the night before was in a (dirty) Burger King at our children's request. I was truly afraid we'd get food poisoning overnight and not be allowed on the ship! The help was having a pickles fight behind the counter, and there were barefoot teenagers walking around the retaurant. Never again.
We tried the Courtyard by Marriot dining room and that was a joke, so don't bother. I had forgotten about the grill restaurant on the channel near the port-maybe next time :)

Magic Cruiser, Yes it was the Greek restaurant next door. It was okay, but I think the restaurant at the Radisson was better. My son held his nose the whole time and embarassed me (because of the smells.) I'm sure it's just the different spices they use, but he begged the entire time to leave. Did not make for an relaxing meal.:( I think if we go again we will stick with the hotel.
