Our travel party consists of myself, DS(8), and DM(60's). Our first DCL cruise but DM and I took Carnival cruise several years ago.
Arrived at MCO on Fri. 18th, Tiffany Towncar driver there and waiting for us, helped with baggage and off we go to the Radisson. Arrived at about 1:30 and had some lunch. Scoped out the pool which was very crowded and could not find any chairs. Decided to instead walk a block over and play mini-golf. This was lots of fun and saw the Goodyear Blimp pass over. Later that evening walked next door to a restaurant(can't remember the name) and ate supper. Was not very impressed with the meal, don't think I could recommend this place.
Had an 11:00 shuttle reservation the next morning, arrived at front lobby about 10:35 and put right on a leaving shuttle with another pulling up at the same time. Had absolutely no problems with this service.
Arrived at check-in around 11:00 and the line was very long, could not believe how fast it moved, no problems here, either. Boarded the ship ,I think, around 12:30, had our first view of the beautiful atrium. Not in a rush for any ressies, so just a leisurely look around and then up to sign in to Oceanear's Lab, got done there very quickly. We had worn our bathing suits under our clothes so went up to Mickey Pool and DS swam and did water slide with no crowds. Had Topsiders for lunch by the pool and enjoyed just being finally on the ship.
DS checked into Lab later while we went to room and unpacked. Room 5520 is great, very little obstruction in front of porthole. This is a great deal on a room, would highly recommend this. I would suggest a noisemaker to drown out neighboring room noise, though.
We had 2nd seating with APL rotation, our servers were Sachin and Pietre, who did a fabulous job all week, even if we were usually one of the last tables leaving every night. Almost always got done around 10:15.
Will do a condensed version of rest of week on another thread, not very computer savvy, unsure how to attach them all. If you have any questions, will try to help.
