Got up early, didn't go to breakfast as Tiffany Towncar was picking us up and taking us to the Hyatt MCO. Stood in line a little while to disembark and then went to find our luggage. I strongly recommend some type of marker on your luggage to help find it, especially if it is blue or black. Got a porter to help us and took the long walk to the pickup area, had to wait a few minutes as we were early, but soon our ride was there. Said final goodbyes to the ship, and headed to airport. Check in was smooth and a room was ready. Had breakfast and a quick nap before heading to our plane about 4:00. This is a great way to spend the day waiting on your flight.
We really enjoyed our week, met some wonderful people. We sat with an awesome family from PA at dinner every night, they made dinner even more enjoyable. This is something I was very apprehensive about before the trip(sharing a table), but couldn't have been happier with the outcome.
I had made a request on our trip forum for any children my DS age and similiar interest and got a response from TootyJane from CA. Our DS's met each other the first day on their own and got along really well. I suggest this for anyone with shy children, this way they have a buddy before they go.
Even after reading all the advice here, I still managed to take way too much clothes. The most comfortable thing for me was a loose sundress that I wore over my bathing suit, I finally had to quit wearing it, it was started to develop its own unique odor
My DS enjoyed the Lab to a certain extent, we would look over the Navigator each day and pick out things that interested him, and he would go to those. There were some days he didn't go at all.
Realize if you do the Shipwreck and Reef snorkle you won't get to see any of the island, you never leave the harbor area. I was disappointed as I would like to have seen more as it appeared to be a beautiful island. Cozumel was a mess, lots of constuction in the downtown area. We stayed in the area of the Punta Logosta dock and mall after returing from the beach.
All in all a great trip, way too much going on to do everything. If we do another cruise I'm sure it would be DCL.
