Myself, my DH, my DS (8) and my DD (6) will be sailing on the 4 day cruise June 19, 2005. Who else is getting excited that the 90 day mark is almost here???

Myself my Dw and 2 DSs (ages 5 & 8) will be joining you. ALso, some friends of ours and their 2 DDs 9ages 5 & 8) are going also.

We are geeting excited!!!    :boat:

:cool1: OH MY GOSH...we must have the whole boat to ourselves :cool1: As you can tell you are the first, one and only, person to post to this thread. Maybe others will find us now that it is getting closer!!! Is there anyone else out there? :rolleyes1

It is great to hear from someone finally. It looks as if we might run in to one another since we have children about the same ages. Maybe at the kid's clubs. Is this your first cruise?

My DW and I cruised on Royal Carribean 2 years ago, but this is our first Disney Cruise and my sons' first cruise. My sons are getting excited, but I don't think they have a clue how big the ship is.

It appears, we might have our own deck since know one else seems to be on the ship.

Have you cruised on Disney before?

We did a 3 day land/4 day sea last June and liked it so much that we rebooked onboard. It was/is the perfect vacation  We would have done the 7 day cruise this summer but we weren't willing to go all the way to California to board the ship. Maybe next summer?!?!

I can't wait to hear the horn on the ship as we sail away!!! It really is MAGICAL :wizard: And you are right, your boys are going to be amazed at how big the ship is. I know I was! It is also great that you are traveling with friends that will make it even more fun.

Are you going to be dining early or late? I noticed that starting in May they are going to try a "staggered" approach to each dinner seating to try and cut down on the crowd congestion right before and after dinner. Should be interesting.

:Pinkbounc Is it JUNE yet :Pinkbounc

We will be dining early.

Are there any excursions you have done that you recommend? We have been to Nassau before and are just thinking of taking a taxi :scared: to Atlantis and leeting our sons see the place. Then coming back to the ship and just spending the afternnon on board.

We are registered for the glass bottom boat at Castaway Cay.

I am considering trying to sign my DW up for a spa treatment as a anniversary gift. We will celebrate our anniversary on June 20 while on board.

We will be at Pop Century for 7 days prior to going on the cruise. We are taking my sons to the Star Wars weekend at MGM on June 12.

We did the dolphin encounter last year and it was the highlight of our trip. Expensive but worth every cent. We did stay on the ship the first half of the Nassau day and went to the excusion the second half. It worked out great! We are actually thinking of staying on the ship the entire Nassau day. We might go in to Nassau for a short while to do some shopping(?) It is just so nice to have an uncrowded ship to explore and enjoy.

We have only reserved snorkel equipment and floats at CC. This is what we did last time and it was perfect. The glass bottom boat sounds neat. We had thought about the jetski excursion but kids have to be at least 8yrs old. You are going to be blown away at how "magic" CC is. :sunny:

As far as the spa....my Dh and I had massages last year and they were very nice.

We will be at the POLY for 4 days prior to the cruise. We saw the Star Wars characters last year at MGM. Since my kids are not into Star Wars we did not spend much time there. From what I could tell they really went all out.

We stayed at the Poly 2 years ago and loved it. I stayed there when I was a kid back in 1979. It is a great place, but decided to save $$$ this trip and do the cruise.

We talked about doing the Dolphine encounter but decided not to do it this trip.

I guess you were right about no one else being on our ship. Will be nice to have the ship to our selves. :smooth: Almost forgot, I guess Mickey and the gang will be joinong us also. ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

CAN"T WAIT!!! :pirate: There are 20 of us going. 4 families ages from 5 to 17 I have 4 of my own. DD 5 DD 9 & DS 10 DS 16. :grouphug: This will be our second 4 day. Everyone else we kinds of talked into this they are going to love it!!  We are driving in the RV everyone else flying except my DS 17 would not be caught dead in that with us :sad2: A couple of day in FW and then the ship the TA they used talked them into the MKE I tried to talk them into getting a shuttle of their own I was concerned with boarding I don;t want them to miss a second of this I am in love with these boards I check them every chance I get. I will be getting me GREEN mickys from HD this week the kids want to stick them to the windows of the RV DD will freak out :rotfl2: :earseek: I will be looking for dis friends hope to meet up with you will you be attending the castaway party is there one on every cruise? keep in touch> :earboy2: Lynn

Hello.....It's myself, Daughter17, and her friend 18. This is my daughter "Graduation Present". Can't wait. :Pinkbounc

It sure is great to know that there are other DIS board "participants" who will be sailing on June 19th. I was beginning to "Wonder" :rotfl:

"jcrlynn" I think maybe you should get a sales position with DCL if you can convince that many families to all go together. Ya'll will have a BLAST :cheer2:

"prifoka" it sounds like you have a very lucky daughter...WOW what a grduation gift :wizard:

:rolleyes1 IS IT JUNE YET??? :rolleyes1

M & M is there a castaway get together on every trip? I hear people talk about a cd they got with their membership stuff we got nothing but a letter :sad2: We did not get passports this year but I hear we will have to get them by the end of the year I am planning to book 25year ann for DD and me and my DS will grad that year I guess he will maybe want to go on a 7day E. 2007. We love the parks so much it is hard to go and JUST get on the ship. Can't take more than 10 days at a time. We don't get out of school until friday the 17 we are taking the kids out of few days early and finals are over tuesday. Never went down this early our week is last week in Aug and I love no crouds   We tried easter break last year for the 4 day and did not see the sun for 5 days and we needed fleece jackets went we got off the ship :cold: :cold: :confused3 never again I am a summer baby 90 or better for me :sunny: :sunny: Keep in touch everyone maybe we can catch up on sail away day :earboy2:

This will be our 2nd 4 day cruise....so I am new to the Castaway Club also. Like you, we only received a letter :guilty: I even called and asked for the CD. They said that they would send one....that was 2 months ago. AS far as a get together :grouphug: the way I understand it is that there is a Captain's reception that only Castaway Club members are invited to. On these boards I have noticed that fellow DIS board members have set specific places and times to meet on another. I think that would be FUN!!!

We DO NOT have passports, since we have never been "forced" to have them. I just could not justify spending the money...especially since we have had no problems so far. BUT next year will be a different story.

We did sail around the same time last year. My kids last day of school is always the first week of June. We found June to be perfect weather, seas, etc. YES, there were crowds at Disney, but with a little planning and fast pass we were able to do everything we wanted to.

Is anyone driving in June. Or are we the only CRAZY people. :rotfl2: I found the ship check in to a dream now that I have done all the res ON LINE, Was that the best or what :cheer2: :cheer2: Has everyone done this? :earsboy:
June is not the normal travel month for us we usually go the last week in Aug. But a lilttle worried about the Huri cn season :sad2: so we moved it up. So gald to hear the weather is good in June :flower: :flower: Does anyone know where the web cam is for the port I was there once and can't seem to find it again :confused3 Ok everyone lets plan to meet :bounce: :bounce: I will try to be on line tonight for the chat hope to talk to all of you more How many days?? :hourglass

We will be flying in June. YES...we did the online check-in/reservations. That is AWESOME :cool1: I feel like I don't have to hurry when I get onboard. We will be taking Disney transfers and going to Animal Kingdom the morning of embarkation. So that really takes the pressure off. I was able to book more things than I had prigiannly planned to. I booked a couple's message on Castaway Cay....has anyone done this?? As far as the web-cam...I have no idea where to find it :confused3

Let's do meet during the sail away party. Some have suggested deck 10 on the port side. What does everyone else think? :grouphug:

 Yeah! :cheer2: Only 40 days to go! This is our 2nd 4 Day Wonder Cruise. We are flying this time and staying at the Radiisson. I kinda miss driving. I also, rented a room at the Comfort Suites so we can see Atlantis. As for the web cam go to www.portcanaveral.org. Then click on web cam. See ya in June!

THANKS for the site,Prifoka!! the kids love that stuff I also found a site on a thread for key west port where the ships dock BEATIFUL :sunny: 33days until we load up the RV there is already a LARGE PILE in the garage ready to go :rotfl2: DD wants to know if that it! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: He sounld know us by now :love1: We are packing just for the cruise and putting that luggage under I think it will be alittle wrinkled it will be in the suit case for 5 days before we get to use it but I can't live out of a suit case in the RV. So I am doubleing up on everything one set for the RV one for the Cruise good think he hasn't been in my CLOSET :earseek: :earseek: . hope everyone got the res they wanted now that it is a piece of cake!! We are also staying on the ship in Nassau did that last year the kids want to stay on the ship so I booked acouple mass in the morning so we could meet up for lunch and enjoy the pool somthing we did not do last year. OK MOMS the end of the school year is near hang in there :teacher: M & M says deck 10 port side sounds good :cheer2: :cheer2: keep in touch

:Pinkbounc I just booked for this cruise! :cool1: I am leaving the little DS at home and my bestfriend and I are going! :cheer2: I felt bad about not taking my daughter but she play softball all summer so it was too hard to get a date when both of us would be free. She is not upset....Anyone got late dining? I usually choose early dining but there were no openings. Has anyone checked the weather for this week? I am from Florida and it usually is very hot at this time..

The Ship is going to be empty if it's just all of us going! Can't wait... My DD and myself are getting awfully excited. :jumping1:

DD (17) wants to know if there are anymore kids her age going? :scratchin

I know an iron is a NONO in your cabin has anyone packed a steamer? :confused3 I hate that Line on the first night for the ironing board :sad2: Are you all reading the report from the repo curise? What a great time don't think I would be spending my time sleeping on the floor for a pin!! maybe if it would pay for another cruise :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: don;t think it will bring big bucks on ebay not enough :rotfl2: Can you believe there are hardly any kids on that ship This is kinds of off season for us to vacation has anyone sailed in June before?
