June 19, 2004, anyone yet???

Here we are, the 60 day window just opened up and I booked our excursions between cases. We booked the Run point Beach Adventure in Cayman and the Fury Catamarran sail snorkel and beach party at Cozumel. The Fury is an unbelievable hoot. :bounce: :bounce::crazy:  And we booked parasailing at 1130 and bananaboats at 300 on CC. :hyper: Si we are set to cruise. Only things left on my to do list will be the surial,:earseek: and Palo's::yes:: and the Bon Voyage champagne orders. (As you can see, I'm excited.) Tootles and good luck to everyone getting their excursion ressies . Wes :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsgirl: (Debbie and Buddy and Lindsey, too.)

We're doing the walking tour in Key West:cool2:, Stingray City Snorkle Tour :happy1: and Snorkling at Chankanaab!:cool1: CC will be all about chillin at Serenity Bay!:goodvibes

:sunny: 60 days and counting.....

Well, we booked the jeep tour in Cozumel and are doing everything else on our own! ALso booked the REAS, so Palo ressies are set, as well as our massages! I think the cost was definately worth not having to scramble when we board....

Now we just have to get through the next 59 days!!!

We'll be leaving before we know it :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

As for the ports: In Key West we'll do the Trolley tour. I'll be booking it online since it's less than going through Disney. http://shophta.com/acb/stores/15/product1.asp?SID=15&Product_ID=13&kc=y It's nice because you have the "on and off" options. We've got this same trolley here in San Diego and it's great.

We're doing Eagle Ray Divers in Cozumel http://www.eagleraydivers.com/Diving.htm

Haven't decided what to do in Grand Cayman. We were leaning toward Rum Point Adventure but I think you spend more time traveling to and from the beach than spending actual time on the beach so I think we'll either catch a cab to Seven Mile Beach or Cemetary Beach.

As for Castaway Cay we're just going to relax.

I just made our Palo brunch and dinner reservations (we've got a Cat. 2) so we don't have to scramble after boarding.

Just wondering -- is there going to be a DIS meet on board?

Hi Everyone,
Have been a bit distracted lately so I actually missed the 60 day mark! Unbelievable when you consider I've been watching the counter since February of 2003.

I booked the Dolphin Swim at 3:30pm on Cozumel a couple months ago, and that's it so far. Actually Cozumel was the one port there are a lot of things I'd rather do, but the girls really are set on the dolphins.

I am afraid of oversheduling, but at the same time I am getting antsy to book something again..... I'll have to talk with the DH this evening, although he's always left most of this up to me.

I can't believe it's really this close!

It IS hard to believe how quickly time has flown. I agree, Kathy, there is always the problem of trying to do too much. We've booked excursions we've done before and look forward to doing again. This may mean we relinquish a chance to swim with the stingrays or climb the ruins but heck, we enjoy the past excursions so much and since it's been a year since we last did it we can't wait to do it again. We would like to get plans going for an onboard meeting. In past cruises we have all met on deck ten after shoving off. But not everyone can make that so we've all agreed to meet in the Promenade Lounge at Ten on the first night Saturday. Lastly, we need to plan a meeting for the grads as we had talked about some months back. We hope we can get together. Wes

Aloha!:wave2:

Would love to get together for 'GRADS' planning meeting, Wes, so please count us in! DS is one of 'em!

Now DH & I just have to start figuring out how to stay up past 9pm so that we are ready for some fun!?!:hyper:

Counting down the days.......:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Hi Everyone!
The get-together at 10 on Saturday night sounds like fun. And although we don't have any grads, let me know if I can help in any way. What a great way to mark graduation! My daughters (13 & 11) are all excited about meeting everyone, and they'll be headed to clubs at least for the first night. After that, who knows....

I am getting so psyched for this trip-our last family vacation was 5 days in New Hampshire in January 2003, which was nice but you have to deduct the first and last day for travel so it was three days there, and that was spent with extended family which was fun but not too relaxing! It was also bone chilling. The last time we actually flew out of Boston was Feb. of 2000 when we went to WDW (and that was messed up because of of storm of course, we were supposed to leave on Friday and couldn't get going until the following Tuesday). So this is long overdue.

Since I last posted we booked a banana boat ride on Castaway Cay. I had to laugh when they picked it-we live right near a lake and the get towed around every summer. But this will be fun I'm sure.

Does anyone ever do excursions without their family? I would like to go snorkeling on Cozumel, but they don't want to commit. Well, we'll see....
Have fun planning!
Kathy

Kathy, We have cruised both eastern and western several times each and DW and I have gone off on our own usually to shop or sight see around cayman or Key west while the kids did an excursion but my kids are old enough to do this. That makes a big difference. My recommendation at Cozumel is the Fury sail, snorkel and beach party. Its a big catamarran and we find it to be a real hoot. Especially if ypu like margaritas. The meeting at ten on Saturday at the Promenade lounge sounds like a plan. Hard to believe it is only seven weeks away. Is this your first cruise? I predict you will have so much fun with your family that tears will well in your eyes as you disembark::yes:: . TTYL, Wes

:thewave:

I was just wondering, is the meeting on Saturday for the whole family or just the adults? I was assuming it was for everyone but I just want to be sure.
Kathy, what time are you doing the banana boat? My kids are enjoying the e-mails. They're excited about meeting them.
I'm going to the bookstore tomorrow to pick up the new passporter. I'm so excited!! I've already started setting some things aside to pack. (mostly tioletries--travel size shampoo, toothpaste, etc.)

Judy

The Saturday meeting at the promenade lounge is for everybody who wants to come. We are equal opportunity partiers! Wes

Anyone have any idea how full the boat is getting? Just curious if third time is the charm for the upgrade fairy to strike????

Hi Everyone! Things around here have been quite hectic so I actually missed the 60 day mark to book our excursions. We finally booked the Jeep Safari Tour in Cozumel and parasailing in CC.We couldn't get early morning and so we got 3:30 but at least we weren't shut out.We decided just to do our own thing in Grand Cayman which will probably include Seven mile beach.

My DDs are a little shy about e-mailing the others, but maybe they will hook up on board.

Looking forward to meeting everyone on board at the promenade lounge. Sounds like fun!:sunny:

Denise:tongue:

Hi everyone,
It seems the closer I get to the sailing date the less time I spend here-now when I really need to! It's a hectic time of year for everyone I guess.

Wes, the Fury sounds like a ball-I'm just worried that after too many margaritas they won't let us near the dolphins! I'll have to check and see what time the excursion leaves to see if we can fit it in and if it's still available.

Judy, the girls are really enjoying the e-mails from your kids. Their names are tossed around during conversations like they are old friends. It's pretty funny. They do seem to have a lot in common. Hopefully it will translate in real life and they can spend some time together. Our banana boat ride is set for 10:50am. The only other thing is the Dolphin Swim on Cozumel at 3:30pm.

Denise, how old are your kids? I have to look back on the list to check it out. The older of my two can be shy at first, and I imagine a lot of kids are that way.

I can't wait to get the heck out of Dodge and onto that ship!

Hi everyone! Docs arrived yesterday so we are ready to go....now if I can only make it through the last 20 days of school!

Wes and Debbie..we're still interested in a grad party of some kind. Let me know if you want me to bring anything along...banners, streamers, whatever!

See you all at the Promanade Lounge at 10!

Aloha!

That's great Beth! Hope ours come soon...Thought we'd have to wait a few more weeks, but maybe not!:hyper:

I teach also and can't wait to R-E-L-A-X!!!::yes::

I'll bring some goodies also for GRAD PARTY if needed. Our DS has NO CLUE about this and we leave just a few days after his ceremony so this will be his party til we get home. It will be great!:flower2:

Hi Rose!
What do you teach? I'm a reading specialist and work primarily with K, 1 and 2. I love what I do but when May hits it seems as though the kids have had enough!

OUr daughter graduates on June 4 so she'll have a few weeks to get used to being a "grad" before we sail!

Have a good end to the year!

Beth:teacher:

Hi guys!

All kinds of exciting news! We could use some banners ets., so that we can surprise the grads, even if it just a few of them.

Our son graduates from college next year on May 14, and today, Wes surprised us all by booking the 14 day Western. It leaves May 14! Our son keeps saying he would not miss this cruise for anything since it is probably a once in a lifetime chance and since he plans on going to med school, we will see him graduate then! Still, the guilty pangs are there! We also booked a 4 day Wonder in June of next year along with our new granchild that will be "dipping in the Mickey pool" age!

We didn't get our docs yet:(

We will need to make a list of things to bring, then we can figure out who can bring what. Remember, we are driving, so I should have plenty of room to bring "stuff".

Also got my doc's yesterday from my local travel agent!!:Pinkbounc Can't wait for my first DCL cruise!! Anyone out there have a 8 yr. old son who is kinda shy. My DS is 8 and loves Playstation games, Yu-Gi-oh cards and other typical stuff. Would love for him to meet a friend on the ship as he is feeling apprehensive about going to the kid's club alone. Any advice or reply's appreciated. Thanks

Aliwas,

My youngest ds is 9. He also loves Playstation, Yu-Gi-oh, etc. He's a bit apprehensive about going to the clubs as well. Best thing to do is go to clubs the first night. Friendships are usually formed on first few nights. We have late seating but we're planning on attending the meet in the Promenade Lounge at 10pm. This will be our third Disney cruise and I think my children were the only ones that didn't like the clubs. Of course, when oldest ds was 14 and could go to Teen Club that all changed. We hardly ever saw him. I'm hoping our middle ds will do likewise now that he's 13.
