I just noticed that you are from Philly too! When are you flying out? I'm traveling with my DS 12, Jeff and are leaving Philly on the 14th on Useless Air at 6:20 PM arriving in Barcelona at 8:20 AM. Are you flying in early or staying longer?

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

All of the planning seems to have come together. The excursions are completely done and I booked transportation to the hotel through the hotel and booked the Hotel Arts for our last night. I think other than from the airport to the hotel we will just take cabs.

I can't get the logo uploaded and reset the medhead2 shop tonight but how about Wednesday night around 6PM CDT. It should make it all night before they kill it again.

We had to change our hotel plans - so we're now staying at the Hotel Arts on the 15th. Hopefully no more changes will be coming......

Wonder why a notice was not given before, like "as of 4/30/07 no more door decorations will be allowed" instead of BOOM none as of NOW. Do you think something happened?

Ok, I called DCL and they said no tape...whew our magnets are good. Also you can still hang off the fish to the side (fish extenders for those who have them.) Just no tape. She said anything with tape will be removed.
She also said that you can exchange on the ship for euros with NO FEE. Just the exchange rate. Thats a big savings for all of us. They also said tips should be in american dollars. So there are the answers to some of our questions.

They are these hanging pockets that you can hang off of the silver fish thats by the door. You can put notes in them, pen and paper...I don't know, but some lady was making them on my other cruise thread so I asked her to make one for me. We'll see if I use it or not.

According to DCL, if you are exchanging on board, they will charge your room for any money you receive. So whatever you have as your room charge will get a charge. More important it will be in american dollars with no foreign transaction fee. Just the exchange rate. (ex. if you want 100 euros your charge will be 135 dollars) I will of course double check before I go, but I hope thats the truth cause that would save me 2% in ATM fees or the hassle of bringing alot of cash to exchange back.

Ok, I don't know if I can read the 90+ pages. We are trying to do this Cruise!!! We almost have flights worked out!! That has been the hardest to do without paying $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.LOL
Questions:
1) How many Disboards are going??
2) How are the excursions going? Everything booked? Is it too late for us??
3) We most likely will get there the night before? Hotel suggestings?
4) We have a 7 year old boy and a 4 year old boy? Any other kids around the same age?
5) Any tips at all for going on this trip!!!

2. Things are available - but a lot are booked.
3. We arrive the morning before - and are staying at the Hotel Arts. There are many suggestions over on the cruisecritic boards.
4. I think that there are a couple in your sons age range - I have a 12 year old daughter....
5. No specific tips - except have fun and join the crowd!!!

Hi Disney Fans,

Hope you can make it. I don't envy the flight situation though. Somehow we lucked out and got cheap (less than $1000 pp) airline tickets. I just checked the prices thinking that we might switch, and it looks like prices have skyrocketed. Unfortunately, our first flight has changed and now our connection time is only an hour. I'm a bit nervous that we will be cutting it too tight on an international flight - am working on getting our flight changed (yuck).

For hotels, try the Hispanos 7 Suiza or the Best Western Regina. The BW seems to be nicer than what we're used to here in the states. Also, they have family suites that will accomodate 4. Its very close to Las Ramblas.

I have a 7 year old daughter and a 9 year old son.
