Not sure if I posted in this thread yet ... Or if I added to FB group. Either way, we r booked on the Fantasy 6/15/13 in cat 4C #7600. We r 4 = DH, me, DD (14) and DS (8). Also traveling w/friends in #7677 & 7680. This will b our 1st voyage on the Fantasy, but have been on the Wonder & the Magic several times. We r veteran cruisers and BY FAR DCL is our favorite! Trying to get more friends from past DCL trips to come too. We r FE rookies but it sounds really fun! I'm not particularly crafty so all suggestions welcome! CAN'T WAIT!!!!

Welcome aboard! All of the links needed for fb and FE are in the first post of this thread. So far you have not requested to join the fb group, so head on over, and I'll add you.

You certainly don't have to be crafty to do FE! On my last DCL cruise, I didn't make anything that I gave, just bought cute little items.

aboard the Father's Day Fantasy. As Bobbie has said please see post #1 for information regarding the FE. We are just off the Fantasy two weeks ago so if you have any questions regarding the ship please do not hestiate to ask. We are also DCL veterans and this will be our 9th cruise.

We will be about 10 doors down from you.

We booked this cruise last month after getting off a 7-night on the Fantasy. It was our first on the newer ships and we really enjoyed it. We thought the bigger ship would feel more crowded, but we didn't have that issue.

We have done 6 Disney cruises and are afraid to try another cruiseline as we've had such good luck with Disney. For us, it's a major ordeal just to get to Orlando, so we want to make the vacation worth our while!

For DVC members who need a night before, today was the booking day. We booked a stay at BLT before the cruise. May change it to AKL at the 7-month mark.

Hi! Just booked today. We are myself (Betsy) and my DD Mary-Grace who will be 9 at the time of the cruise. So far we have sailed the Wonder twice to Mexico, and the Magic this summer on one of the 8 night Bahamas cruises. We are doing a b2b on the Dream in 2 months, and are looking forward to seeing one of the new, larger ships, though we LOVE the Wonder and Magic. We hope to participate in the FE, though it's a little intimidating on a larger ship. By the way, I lived on St. Thomas for 6 years, and my father lives there currently, so I can be a resource for anyone wanting to do the island on their own. I look forward to getting to know you all!

Welcome aboard, Betsy! My DS will be 10 next summer, and there are many 8 - 11 year olds among our group. The fb group is called Father's Day Eastern Fantasy 2013, and there's a link to it on the first post of this thread. In that post you'll also find the information about the FE. There are only a few people signed up at this time, so it's not so intimidating yet. Who knows what will happen in a year, however! Looking forward to sharing the excitement with you!

Welcome! We loved St. Thomas when we visited last month. It was our favorite stop, but honestly, we didn't spend any time in St. Thomas itself except to drive across the island to catch a catamaran to St. John. I'd love to do another catamaran excursion next year too - perhaps to Turtle Bay and Honeymoon Beach. Do you have any different recommendations or must-sees?

I think you'll enjoy the new ships. We too love the Magic and Wonder, but also thoroughly enjoyed the Fantasy. We have not done the Dream. From what I've read, the Fantasy is slightly better than the Dream as they corrected a few things (i.e. Satellite Falls, the district, pool on Deck 12, AquaLab, location of drinks, etc.). I also wouldn't be worried about the FE. We did it last month and it only took us about 30 minutes to deliver all the gifts one morning. There generally aren't that many participants in most FE groups anymore - 20 to 25. On one of our cruises on the Magic, we had over 120 participants and we delivered gifts over three separate days (granted it was a 15-night cruise with 7 sea days so we had time).

I'm impressed that they didn't break up the FE groups on your cruise. However, didn't you go on the "pirate" cruise. That was the same group of cruisers from our 2008 Panama Canal cruise. We followed them on their FB page and keep in touch with so many of them. It's no wonder they kept the FE group together.

On our cruise last month, we had about 60 FE participants over three separate groups of about 20 each. I wondered why they split it up, but it turned out okay afterall.
