June 15 - June 22 2013 Eastern Fantasy

Good Morning, Father's Day Eastern Fantasy Fanatics! Has everyone been enjoying the two Fantasy eastern trippies progressing on the trip report section right now? The one by Quicklabs is really enjoyable with lots of fabulous photos and a wonderfully detailed review of Remy! Anyone planning on going there on our cruise? It looks and sounds AMAZING, but I just can't see adding that kind of a price tag to our already bank breaking bill. I think DH and I will stick with a Palo dinner, and save the extra $$$$$$$ for excursions, souvenirs, and other goodies. Maybe someday when DS is out on his own :p

I'm getting really excited for the end of school and our trip to the World in less than a month!! :woohoo:

Good morning fellow cruisers. Another month has gone by.
We now have only
tharg-1-50-trans.gif
tharg-3-50-trans.gif

months to go to the Fantasy. :cool1::cool1::cool1:

We would be interested. :thumbsup2 We had several DISsers on my last cruise in Oct took this tour and loved it. They went all over the island including Orient Beach and Maho beach to watch the airplanes land. We were planning to book this excusion. Getting a DIS group together would be great. Let's see if we can get more on board.
We would be interested in that as well. (there are 7 of us ... and I just realized... I'M the ONLY guy! :crazy2: )

I would love to go to Remy too but just can't put out that kind of money on food. I would rather spend it on excursions! I do enjoy Palo, especially brunch! Can't wait! :wave2:

Good morning fellow cruisers. Another week has gone by.
We now have only

Hi, I just booked today!!! WOOT WOOT!!!

This is our 1st DCL cruise and we will be going with our daughters [ages 2 and 4] both would almost be 3 and 5! =)

I know this will be the first of many DCL cruise to come!

I am from FL and I am a 7th grade Civics Teacher at the moment. I am working my was up to the guidance office since I am a Marriage and Family Therapist.

I am so excited to get to know you all!!!!

What is the best location on the ship for rooms? Right now I am in 9042. I would like to be a bit more centered...tips?

I think midship is the place to be. I'm in a 9B on deck 2 midship. I had a forward cabin on the Dream and did not like it at all. It was quite a hike from the forward elevator to my cabin. The hallways in the forward part of the ship aren't straight, so every time you turn another corner you think you're almost there...but you're not! So this time around I made sure to select a cabin rather than going the GTY route. I know I will be happy in the stateroom I've chosen on the Fantasy!

We prefer to be center and on deck 6 or 7 because I don't like to feel a lot of movement when I sleep. We have always done that and never had a problem with motion sickness. Check to see what rooms are left, I think the ship is filling up! :)

Any cabin aboard the Fantasy is a good cabin. Which one is best for you is a personal choice based on what is important to you and your budget. We like to be near the elevators so you do not have to walk too much, between deck 7 and 9 and a non connecting room. We are in a cat 5c 7542.

Thanks so much for the advice. I changed to Deck 7 and a non connecting room. I had to upgrade to a deluxe family ocean view with balcony, which is fine.

What company do you guys use to design your t shirts? I wanted to create some for my family...

"the e4 princess fantasy" my poor husband...LOL

Welcome aboard! I added you to the fb page before I got a chance to read this post, so I couldn't match you up with one of our gang at first!

Another middle school teacher! I teach 7th & 8th grade Language Arts, so I know by next June just how much you will need this cruise. :lmao:

I've only cruised DCL and NCL, but I think Disney sort of spoils you for other cruise lines. We really enjoyed our Norwegian Cruise, but the whole time were VERY aware of the Disney difference. I know you and your girls (and DH) will love it!

Congrats on upgrading to a verandah. You'll love it. We upgraded on our first cruise and DW would not even think about cruising without it. :rotfl: I like to sit out early in the morning and watch the sunrise.
As for T-Shirts that is always a hard one. Most designs we all like have a Disney character on them and almost all companies will not touch them. On our last cruise one of the DISsers used a local mom and pop shop to make them for our cruise. Turned out great. If no one has knows of a shop I can reach out and find where they went to get them.
We're just over 1 year to our cruise. Hope everyone is going to have a great summer. :thumbsup2
