I just realized that since we are driving from Ohio, we are leaving for our cruise 1 year from today. Since we booked back in January, this is very exciting for us hehe

This will be our 2nd Disney cruise. Our first was aboard the Wonder in 2004. It will be me, DH, DD (5) and DD (3). It will be the girls' first cruise! We will be celebrating DD's 3rd birthday, my 35th birthday and our 7th wedding anniversary on this cruise! I'm so excited and look forward to getting to know all of you before we cruise.
Mommy2Abby
1st cruise
dh - mr. social
me - very quiet with social anxiety
ds13 - shy like mom but we're working on it
ds10 - full of energy and finds friend everywhere
dd7 - typical social girly girl
planning on atlantis excursion (not my choice due to the cost, but the kids are set on it after atlantis commercials all last summer, and since you can see it from the ship, guess I can't just not tell them!) will probably arrive 2 days early to do kennedy space center
Hi,
RavenRob here.
This will be our third Disney Cruise. Wonder Land and Sea in 2005. Magic Western in 2006. Now Dream for 5 days in 2012. Me, DW(44), DD(13), and DS(10). We will be celebrating my DD's graduation from Middle School and my 45th birthday which will be on Day 3. Usually don't book a cruise this far out but I really got the bug to go again. Also hoping to stay at Bay Lake Tower (AKL DVC Member) post cruise for three days to meet DB and his family to celebrate niece's HS graduation. Looking forward to staying in touch with all and hearing all planning activities.
We will be on the 5 night june 15th 2012 and are interested in the fish extender gifts how is this done?

I can not believe that I actually get to say that I am going on a 5-day!!!!! We just booked tonight. This will be our 6 DCL cruise (all have been 3night and 1 was 4night). We just had the most amazing time on the Dream in May. We weren't bright enough to book while on board but hopefully I'll stop kicking myself soon. We even booked the same room as last time (it was only one of 3 choices) We have 2 little ones that will be ages 4 & 6 at the time of the cruise. We have never participated in the FE since or trips were always so short but I think we might this time. I have always had surprise gifts for the kids when they entered the stateroom but I am excited to do something different such as the FEs. We are local and are enjoying annual passes this year to Disney until May. I might be able to answer any Orlando questions along the way if there are any. Looking forward to chatting along the way during the next 12 months. One year from today we will be back on the Dream. I'll go to bed happy tonight.
Count us in. I just re-booked while we were on board. We just got off this morning and I wanted to check in now while I am at the airport (Hyatt Day Room) waiting on our 7:44PM flight. It will be me, dh
, dd
(9), ds
(3) We will be there with bells no unless something changes.

We just returned from the 5-day June 21, 2011 Dream cruise and rebooked for the June 15, 2012 cruise while on board. It is the ONLY way I could get any of us off of the ship (myself included) without extreme depression issues. All of us had the time of our lives - you first-time cruisers are in for an amazing treat. There will be myself, my lovely wife, and our children - DS (who will be 13 at time of cruise) and DD (8). They LOVED the kids clubs - closed them down every night. And we did a lot of family things as well. I could go on for days and days about how much fun we had, but I have to get going on my pile of work from being gone for a week! I know it's early, but I will suggest something we did for our cruise, and that is set up a private Facebook page for just our cruisers. I am not a big Facebooker at all (I'm too old), but it worked out very well. Posts and threads are easier to follow, and it's much more private than posting here, where anyone can see. Don't get me wrong, I love the Disboards for informational purposes. But a private FB group worked out well. You can also easily attach documents like the FE information, dining rotations, copies of previous Navigators, etc. And you get a chance to know families that have children of similar ages. My kids had already e-mailed several others before ever getting on the ship. We even had creative people make logos, which many of us used to make T-shirts, duffel bags, etc. We even had a "meet and greet" on the first day, to finally put faces to all of the names.
So I guess what I am saying is it's great to get to know each other before ever embarking. Our family has made several new friends that I know we will keep in touch with for years to come, and maybe even sail with in the future. I am looking forward to having the same experience with all of you.
And I promise future posts will be much shorter!
I am very interested in having a Facebook private group. I'm not a huge fan of telling the world when I'll be on vacation. I am a part of a FB private group and it works really well and has the privacy that I am comfortable with. I have a bunch of questions regarding FEs as well as those of you who have sailed on a 5day but I'll save those for when I am not so tired.
I would like to join the private FB group but am having trouble.I'm fairly new to FB so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. When I click on the links in the PM or on this meet, it brings me to a page for my groups that has 0 groups listed. Does anyone know what I'm doing worng? Thanks!
