As you can tell I'm back

This last week was out of control! But our family leaves town on Wednesday and 1 of 2 major events is over...only 1 more huge event (80 vendors, 15 performers, 6 hours of children's activites, donation drive, pet adoptions, lots of politicians and 2500 people ... ahhh!!! ) and many smaller ones and I'll be ready for the cruise. Okay I must admit I'm ready for the cruise now. Anyways, I started packing last night . I still need to finish the fish extenders (I hate when you get so close to finishing and you just can't motivate yourself to do more but I MUST finish them by Monday so I can mail them to my parents in time for the cruise...they still don't know about any of it ). Luckily I have a 3 1/2 day weekend this week and my DH is off for the whole week and can help with stuff so I don't stress too much, but the poor guy has been really sick all last week . At least my DH was happy that I started packing and didn't look at me like I was crazy this time. I reminded him that we leave for vacation in 3 weeks (we're stopping in TX first then onto CA for a few days before we leave) and so he thought it was a good idea also...Now if I can just convince him to start packing his own stuff...not likely. I finally got all my gifts for the FE and only 8129348209343 more things to do before the trip. I really need to make a list

Actually, I do the same thing. I usually have several copies for my passports and on-line check in forms.

Make sure if you check in on-line you print everything out especially the signature pages. When I sailed in Nov the people that did not have their copies were asked to fill everything out again.

Yeah we had to fill everything out in person last time and that was time I just didn't want to waste when I could be on the ship having fun. Plus if you fill it out online it automatically fills in some of the info for you which is nice...and I type faster than I write haha. Anyways, we have our forms packed and ready!

Oh yeah and for all of my DIS friends that like to scrapbook (I've already been looking up ideas for after the cruise haha) and like to shop at Michaels you can go to plasticjungle . com and get a discounted gift card for the store. I got one the other day for $70 that is worth $105. Not bad! Think of all the fun extra craft supplies I can get with that $35 and my 40% off coupon!!

I know you said the 2 or 3 17 yr old DD have chatted and I wanted to see if you've heard if they have have talked to my brother. I think last time he mentioned that he got a message from one but I was just checking to see if you knew any more.

Glad you are back. Make sure you put a piece of paper with your name and contact info as well as where you are going inside each bag. That way if the luggage tag on the outside gets torn off, someone can look inside a find who the bag belongs to

I feel so out of touch from you guys! Once I get my computer back then I hope to be on more.

DD did not book the Disney job. It would have been nice but they went with families vs individual people. Since DH lives up in Northern California during the week that was not going to work for us. Oh well, it did not pay well at all (Disney NEVER does). DD did have an audition on Sat and her agent called me today and said she is on hold for the job working May 30-June 2. I really hope she books it! She also auditioned on Thursday for a small role in a new movie called Angels and Demons (it is the prequil to the DaVinci Code). So we shall see.

She has another audition tomorrow, not sure what is for yet. I am waiting for the details. Needless to say things have been VERY busy.

DD 6 was in a theatre comp this weekend. She sang for the first time in public by herself. She did a solo on a huge stage in front of a bunch of people. I was a disaster, and she was not bothered by it at all. She did a great job. She was a little nervous but she did really good. She earned a "gold" on a bronze, silver, gold, platinum scale. We are very proud of her.

DD 3 eardrum ruptured over the weekend. Ugh! She is handling it very well. We will be back in 6 weeks for hearing tests to see if there is any damage. We also met with a developmental phyologist for her today. Not such a great outcome. Right now only time will tell for her. She is a wonderful little girl. She is a sweetheart but she is OCD. She did not stand a change with me and my husband. We are so anal about everything. Hopefully though it will be nothing that will affect her later in life.

Ok, I am just ranting now. I would love to put all of this behind me and just start focusing on the cruise. Hoepfully that can happen soon!

This is my DH and my 2nd Disney Cruise. This is my parents 2nd cruise, but first Disney cruise and this is my in-laws first cruise ever.

We have early dinner, but not sure the actual room rotation.

Wow sorry to hear about your daughters ear!! We'll be wishing her good thoughts as she recovers and hope there is not lasting impact.

Sounds like we're all going to really need a vacation by the time the cruise comes!

My brother had the same thing happen to him when he was three. He is now 25 and has never had a problem with his hearing. His was so bad he was in the hospital for a week.

You need to get your computer fixed fast...there's less than 4 weeks less...we miss you

Wonderful about DD6's auditions and performance Gosh, I could never, EVER, get up in front of a bunch of people and sing (not that anyone would want me to....I lipsync happy birthday for goodness sake ) but to get the gold WOW! I think we'll need to get her autograph on the cruise so when she wins her Oscar, I can say I knew her way back when

Of course, on the flip side, very sad to hear about DD3's eardrum...poor babe. It's amazing how little ones handle stuff like that, they are very brave if you ask me. Anyway, hope she's feeling better very soon and send

I just asked DH if I could fly to Vegas to complete my vacation shopping and he said with as well as we've been communicating on-line he doesn't understand why we can't shop that way as well

Once again men just do not get it!

DH took Ds to do some shopping today but most is going back after I got a look at the prices he paid I refuse to pay 25.00 for a shirt DS will wear to one dinner and that is it. I guess I'm just mean!

I told DD to start putting her outfits together. She looked at me and said "Mom, I don't even have one outfit I can take!" She must be freaking kidding. That kid has more clothes, shoes, etc... then anyone should. I tried to keep a straight face and said "just start pulling stuff together and we will see where we are at."

I'm glad the 4 year old could care less!

You're DH is like me, I sometimes "forget" to look at the prices but DS grows so fast I've had to admit it doesn't make much sense to pay so much for something that won't fit him the next day...honestly, I think he waits up taller every morning

I think our DD's are comparing notes....Alix has been pretty good about not asking for new clothes for the trip because I think she knows the response (or look) she'd get from me but has said she NEEDS more bathing suits...we'll see....and this morning she said she NEEDS new sunglasses. I asked "why, did yours break?"...she said "No, I just don't like them anymore". Okay, really, I don't even own a pair of sunglasses - if anyones gettin new sunglasses it's moi! Your DD looks about the same size as my DD....I think they should just go shopping in each others suitcases

At this point, look like DH is a go for the cruise . He actually started asking questions about it so I know he's getting excited...it just takes him awhile (as opposed to me who gets excited at the THOUGHT of a Disney vacation!).

You aren't kidding!!!!I'm sure shopping in each other's suit cases is a given! I'm sure they are playing off each other. I quite often get the "look Mom at the Tink stuff. Did you know both Alix and I both love Tink?" I hope they enjoy each other as much in person as they have on my space!

Hooray for DH and the family!!! I know it wouldn't have been the same without him!

Late seating- we requested 8:30 pm rotation.

This is our second cruise! It's a big party. We are celebrating our 21st Anniversary May 23rd, DD H.S. graduation on June 5th, Father's day, DS 5th b-day June 28th & last but not least other DS 15th birthday July 22 (can't leave him out!).
