Hi Cathy,

Glad you found some polo shirts and khakis for your ds's. I know what you mean for this not being standard attire for our teens, LOL! Bet your ds's look handsome though, my ds does. We still need to get him another swim suit.

Happy Mother's Day to you tomorrow and to all the moms on our thread! Hope you get to go shopping, have fun, and find some great cruise clothes tomorrow!

Barbara

Thanks Barbara. Happy Mother's Day to you as well!!
And Happy Mother's Day to all the other mothers too.

I'm back. I hope all you Moms had a wonderful day yesterday.

We had a very interesting weekend in Toronto with our band trip. We participate in contests while we are up there and also sightsee etc.

Well, during our marching band parade competition, it HAILED on us. Yes, back in our city of Columbus, it was sunny and 80. But we left it for rain and hail in Toronto. Sat. was just miserable, but the kids were pretty good sports about it!

We didn't get home until after midnight and now after a full day of school, we get to move our furniture and pull up carpet. I guess it doesn't get any better than that.

Oh yes it will!!!!!!! June 12!!!!!!!

Well, I'd better get busy.

Lorie

We are going on the June 12 cruise and I am so excited about it!!! I have been planning for almost a year now! I can't wait!! I think we might just do one of the sightseeing tours for St.John. It is going to be so much fun. We are going with cousins, neices, aunts, uncles, and grandmothers. It should be a blast!Just 32 more days!!!

welcome back MG!

We're starting to get psyched.

gathering all our chemicals for various things (sunscreen, seasafe, sea sick stuff, etc etc etc)

oh boyis this great!:bounce:

Welcome home Lorie! Whoa, hail???! That was some trip! Glad to hear all were so good about the weather.

Best wishes with your carpet - carpet, end-of-your-school year, and a cruise to plan...you're gonna need R & R!!!

WELCOME Disney_magic_08!

Good luck with all the "collectin'" hometech99 and findingnemofan!

Barbara (PS Received our docs today! Too tired to read them yet, can you believe it?!)

Barbara,
I'm glad to see you got your countdown timer working.

Well, the carpet is in. Yeah! Dh can barely move from moving all the furniture, pulling up the carpet and moving the furniture. Tonight will be a piece of cake. We are do a recording session for our beginner and Jr. High groups. The concert is next week. Once the concert is over, it is smooth sailing!!! All our programs will be done except for graduation, but that's easy.

At least being this busy makes the time fly!!! I'm not complaining!!

Hometech, I've got to start stocking up for all that "stuff" myself. I've got the clothes ready to go (I've been stock piling for a year!)

What is everyone else doing to pass the time? Does it seem to be moving slowly or fast?

Lorie

What is everyone else doing to pass the time? Does it seem to be moving slowly or fast?

well, we got excited yesterday at the 1 month point.

PAssporter came today, so time to read!

Hi Lorie, kudos to you and dh for getting through concerts, recording sessions, and carpet!!!

hometech99, enjoy the passporter.

So, what is the NEXT thing you all need to do to get ready for June 12th?!

Lorie, the time is moving waaayyy too fast!!!

Take care!

Barbara:D

Barbara, you probably don't have to worry about this living in CA, but I need to get a tan!!!!! Right now, I'm a bit on the "pasty white" side! Usually, I burn once just a little and then I don't. Now with the Caribbean sun, this may be a little different. I just don't want to be "crispy" on the cruise. There is hope though. When Bill and I got married on June 20, I had the best tan. Now, I know, sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen.

The next thing is to schedule my pedicure along with my nail balance a few days before the cruise. I got my first pedicure last summer and I loved it. Since my feet looked good all summer, I didn't get another because afterthat, no one sees my feet!

I'm also getting my folder of important info to take with me. I am trying to condense this a little!

Lorie

Hi Lorie,

Bet you are glad to have a less busy weekend (trip/carpet prep last weekend). Then again, maybe you have just as busy of one!

Good for you re: tanning. That is my concern too, burning in the Carribean sun!!! So, even though we are in CA and have many sunny days, for the first time in my life I'm going to a tanning booth. What a bad example to my dd, heh? I've been twice thus far, just want to get a base that's all. I have not been in the sun much with a suit due to time mostly. So far so good. They say the lotions help enhance the tan, and I see that they do.

What is a nail balance? Sounds intriguing! Funny, but we have alot in common. I just began pedicures and pink & white nails last year in May. Did not do pediacures after Oct. cause I wear enclosed shoes mostly during the following months. Great minds think alike. Isn't it fun to have pretty toes?!

Have a good weekend! Hello to everyone else on this thread!

Barbara (PS Do people blow bubbles at the sail away? I was thinking dd might like to do this. Thanks!)

Yes, this is a very, very quiet weekend. Unfortunately, it is cold and raining here so I can get ou into the yard.

Barbara, I feel much better knowing that you don't have a fabulous tan already! LOL Bill is a redhead and burns easily no matter what. Actually, he looks tan most of the time because of all his freckles.

We will be so easy to spot, the very pale short girl will the very tall freckle faced redhead. Now that's a picture!!! Now add the blond ds that looks like both of us (I say he looks more like me!)

Oh, it gets even better. We will also be matching for our embarkment photo! Bill and Andrew have matching polos and I have one that is very similar. So again, we will be easy to spot. The group that everyone is pointing and staring at trying not to laugh at the goofy family!

In regards to the bubbles, I believe I have heard of people doing this but don't remember seeing anyone. It sounds like fun!

Lorie

Hi everybody!!
I tried on bathing suits last weekend. Ugh. I did find a cute one at Belk that I might go back and get. Also saw a cute coverup at Target today. I thought the bathing suits at Target were cute also but I don't have that kind of figure. And speaking of white, I probably glow in the dark. I was at the park today for a few hours doing some volunteer work and thought I was under a tent the whole time but ended up with sun on my face and arms.
I'll probably rent DH and DS's tuxes this week. Don't want to wait much longer.
Hope everyone has a great weekend.:D

I think my guys will just be doing jackets and ties for dinner. I have a nice black dress for formal night. There's another reason for a bit of a tan!

Barbara, I forgot to answer about a balance. I have acrylic nails and they have to be filled in where they grow out every few weeks. The last couple of months, I ve been stretching this out so that I get it done right before the cruise. It's my little luxury I treat myself to.

Lorie

Hi Lorie, Thanks for the descirption on "nail balancing." I'm so new to nails that I'm still learning, LOL! Good for you doing something for yourself, that is important!

Cathy, good luck with the tux renting. We considered that, but my dh had to bring a suit anyway for semi-formal, so he decided to wear this to both. Ds will wear a long-sleeved dress shirt with a tie and black dress pants. So, hopefully he's set.

Everyone have a great week! Lorie & hometech99/findingnemofan, I'll remind my ds to e-mail/IM yours soon!

Where/when we gonna have our DIS meet the first day?! We plan to see those we can at the port in front of the ship model too. Lorie, you guys will be easy to spot from your descriptions, ;) Not goofy, but FUN!!! You guys must have lots of fun, I love that!

Barbara

Barbara, I'll try to Andrew to get into the e-mail. He thinks a yes or no answer is having a conversation!

You must also be so excited about the next cruise. I checked out the thread for that and it looks like it will be a huge trip for the diser's. Unfortunately for us, both of the cruises are at times of the year that would be impossible for us. Well, I guess that will give me a chance to save for 6/06.

I think it might be nice for anyone who wants to meet early, do it 30 min. before boarding. I'll check what people have been reporting on the trip reports.

I know some of you have spa appointments already with your REAS package, but is anyone doing anything else? I think I'll try the rainforest this time.

Lorie

Just wanted to bump this up a bit. I know everyone is busy and we are so close. At this time in 3 weeks, I know I'll be doing my final packing. Some of you will already be on your way!
