I also recommend booking your excursions ahead of time. We only booked for St. Thomas and are doing St. Martin on our own. (Dawn beach, Great Bay beach and shopping).

If you have any ????, some of us have been on the boards for awhile and if we can not answer, I sure someone on the regular board can.

Are you going to WDW before your trip, staying over in Cocoa Beach or coming in the day of the cruise?

Ok everybody, anyone out there ready to set up a disboards meet on the cruise? Any ideas? I heard some other groups schedule a Palo Brunch or maybe at a family activity.

I was just reading a report from someone with the cat 1 suite, they had a meet in their room. Any of you have this room????? I'd offer a meet in mine, but I think it might, just might be a bit crowded in the cat. 11. LOL!!!

Thanks everyone for the great info. We are arriving on the day of the cruise . We both have to work on friday then drive to florida. But we are staying at the Raddison on the saturday we get back. We are up for anything to meet everyone..Just let us know. Hurry june 12th........mark

How about we meet up for one of the shows or somewhere after dinner for one of the events?

We may all have different schedules for at sea days and excursion days. Then again, we may have a split of seating times (early vs. late).

Lorie, you've been on other DCL cruises. Are there some fun things that we can interact and have fun with in the evenings? Say, like a karaoke place where we can chat and also make a DIS toast (with the drink of the day, of course!)

I'm open to other suggestions, just what I think would work as of this date and time, LOL!

Hi Nala,

Dh made all our REAS requests/reservations on Friday. Meant to write this sooner, my apologies.

Anyway, I'd make yours now if possible. Dh said there were fewer appts. than he expected for spa and Palo's brunch. Many were available for Palo's dinner for our day (Weds. - 8:30 p.m.)

Dh said Debbie was a delight and soo helpful!

We got our rotation too (PLA). You can have the in-room champagne breakfast any a.m. of your choice, you do not have to make a reservation in advance. Turn down service is the evening of Palos dinner.

Hometech99, is this a talent of yours? do you know a good recipe for the Kahlua Colada? Have you made any Konk Koolers? the konk kooler is a favorite at parties!

I'm not sure where we could all meet up. Sometimes the "clubs" can be noisy and smoky. Maybe we could meet at the Promenade lounge which is very open on deck 3. There is usually someone singing and it seemed to be deserted almost all of the time.

This is also good because the kids can meet here as well.

I think it would be fun also to perhaps meet before an activity. It's hard to pick an activity because they change times constantly. We would almost have to wait and see what the navigators have scheduled.

As for which day, I would think it would be nice (especially for the kids) to meet early on.

Is the first night too busy? Or should we just jump right in?!!! Ok, everybody meets by the model of the ship at 10:30am on Sat. LOL. but I bet we run into people!!!

Anyone have any suggestions to throw in here?

Let me know what you all would like to do?

When I figure out (or should I say when my dh figures out), how to post a picture, I'll post one of our group.
I would hate to be passing by fellow diser's!

Just told dh when I suggested we meet for a DIS event (after dinner) and he said, "Are you nuts? Do you realize how late that will be?" Oops! He did say it laughingly, but he is right!

Yes, let's meet early the first day, at the ship's model would be exciting to us! We could have signs, LOL!

Just got off the phone with Debbie. We'll be having our couples massage Sunday at 2:15, Palo dinner Tuesday at 8, and Palo Brunch Thursday at 11. I can't wait!

As for meeting, no kids here, but we'll be happy to join! We plan to be at the terminal bright and early!

CONGRATS Nala and hometech99!!!

We'll have our stateroom champagne breakfast on Sunday a.m., Palo Brunch on Monday, spa Monday afternoon (both this day because it's my bday and dh is spoiling me), Palo on Weds. evening. Did not do anything on Thursday for brunch as that is the day (I believe) of our character breakfast with a PLA dining rotation..

Mark & Tam, call the DCL # and ask to speak with Debbie about REAS. They'll put you through and have her call you back. She is great! Let her know your with the DIS board, she likes how everyone is so organized.

You can also request your dining rotation. We chose PLA so we are in Lumiere's on formal night, then in Palos on the next Lumiere's dressy night.

We are also going to be on the 6/12 cruise! I CAN'T WAIT!! It will be me, dh, stepsis (15), ds (6) and dd (4). We are all so excited. I have been really pumping up the kids clubs so they can get excited to go in!

I was reading some of the posts on REAS. I tried to call Debbie twice and they would NOT put me through to her or anyone else to make the reservations. They said I had to wait for some letter to come in the mail and then it will have a number for me to call. If there is a better way - - - PLEASE let me know!!

Hometech99, according to my passporter this is the character breakfast info.:

If your dining rotation starts in Animator's Palate, your character breakfast will be Sunday morning. For Lumiere's Monday morning, and for Parrot Cay Thursday morning. BTW, this character breakfast reminds the authors of Chef Mickey's in the
Contemporary.

Raquel, Welcome! My best advice is to keep calling, and call first thing in the a.m. I believe they open at 8 a.m. EST. If Debbie is not in, ask to leave a message for REAS. Then if they will not give you her, call again & ask to leave her a voice message on her machine with no explanation other than you need to speak with her.
