Dh got more information about his deployment today, and now it looks like these dates are my best shot at taking my mom to DL. It kind of works out, because my bday is the 18th so I might celebrate a few days early and get a button!

Is there anything major about these dates I should know about ahead of time? Conventions, grad nights, any thing that would draw mass crowds? I'm not worried about typical summer crowds. I may switch to all weekdays though, if there would be nightly fireworks by then?

Thanks. Looks like those dates are blocked out except for Deluxe and no grad nights.

We went RIGHT in that timeframe in 2010 (the weekend World of Color premiered!). I was expecting simply terrible crowds due to the show premiering, but no--it wasn't bad at all, not even on the weekends. All the summer entertainment started that weekend, but crowds hadn't yet caught up with the parks.

It was a night and day difference from 2009, when we went right around June 20 (for MY birthday!). We were in the midst of non-blockout dates and school vacations and experienced huge crowds. A few days later made a BIG difference.

Anyway, I hope your days will be a lot like ours in 2010! :flower3: Have a great trip!
