i dont think i mentioned what im doing this weekend!

im going to chicago for a dance convention!!!!!!!!! i am sooooo excited

ill be gone till late sunday night. i didnt have to go to school today because were leaving between noon and one...and i wasnt packed!

Kim. . .I kept thing about all of you last night. It is so sad for your community!

Stacy has accepted her dad's invitation to a Father/Daughter dance. We purchased a new dress this afternoon. I've ordered both of them flowers. . .they are going to be sooooo cute! I'll post a picture!

My heart stress test began today. They put the nuclear dye in my veins and did pictures today. Next Friday it the treadmill test!

We're considering Universal this summer (with maybe one day the the Englehorns at Disney!) Stacy isn't sure about Universal. . .DH and I might just have to make a decision.

Charlene--The photo is beautiful. What a special memory they will have of going to that.

Kim--I'm so sorry to hear about the tragedy in Kirkwood. Violence knows no limits. It's so hard when it hits close to home.

Kay--You did call me when I was in WDW. I was sitting in the GF lobby w/ my Mom when you called. I'm glad it was resolved.


If anyone is going to be in Chicago -- when I'm actually in town (which is usually let me know). I got some gifts at the latest DVC event at Disney's Doorway to Dreams store, but one of them is way too heavy to mail. I also got coupons for the H20 store at Woodfield Mall. They are the bath products Disney uses now. They had different ones at the GF than they did at the BWV. The hydrating body butter is incredible & w/ my sensitive skin I can't use many products. This one is great.

Anyone want to come visit me & go shopping???

I'll have to do a trip report. It was truly magical. After all our troubles of not getting out on Wed & having to fly through New Orleans, land in Tampa, rent a car, & drive w/ a very limited map to WDW--the rest was MAGICAL.

Lots to do this week...but I'll try to put something together soon.

Highlights:

used points to stay at GF in cheapest room (garden view)n - upgraded to Sugar Loaf Bldg Concierge

put Queen Nana on her b-day button, ecv, wheelchair, etc. & made her wear the b-day tiara the GF tea gave her everywhere--CMs went over the top for her 80th b-day everywhere & every time they could

she cried more tears of joy than you can imagine

the boy treated her like a queen (Patrick bought her a light up flower while waiting for SpectroMagic)

whole family got fake tatoos at AK including Nana w/ a queen Minnie one her forearm so everyone could see

she received share the magic dream pins twice (different pins & locations)

Rose & Crown gave us the best outside table for Illuminations viewing, Irish waitress, all CMs fussed over her, etc. & she had no idea what Illuminations was until it happened & she cried again

Jungle Cruise sang happy b-day to her

she received flowers & balloon at BWV when we arrived and the CM curtsyed sp? to the queen

and so much more.....can't remember! Wow!

like charlene said, theres nothing new here either...

but spring break plans are set --- we are going to playa de carmen, mexico!!!!!
i am soooo excited. there is a 5th avenue type place behind the hotel and in front of it is the beach!!!! playa de carmen is south of cancun and directly aross from cozumel [they acually have a ferry dock in PDC <-----playa de carmen------- to go to cozumel!

I survived the stress test yesterday. . .totally exhausted afterwards. . .I'll see the cardiologist next Friday.

Christine. . .if you make it to Cozumel. . .there is a beach/water park called Playa Mia. . .we were there in December. . .Paul and Stacy did the beach/water area while I took a cooking class. . .have a wonderful trip!

My in-laws asked about the yearly family spring trip to the beach (Gulf Shores, AL) . . .we said yes. . .however we won't be at the beach house we all love. . .my MIL has knee problems and can't do all the stairs anymore. . .

We've purchased tickets for Universal. . .now to set a date. . .

Stacy and Paul are going on a Father/child outing with church tonight. . . bowling! I get the house to myself again!

Hi everyone!

Christine we will be stopping in Cozumel for one of our stops on our spring break cruise, small world!

Charlene- glad you get he stree taken care of, I have never had one, but they sure don't look like any fun! Exciting news about getting the Universal tickets! I am hoping that your trip will somehow overlap with ours somehow.

We have changed our lodging for the second half of our June trip. We will still be staying on property for the first part of the week. Marriott called the other night with an awesome offer of a 5 day/4 night stay for $199.00, so we just couldn't pass it up. They also had an upgrade of $100 to spend as we like or an upgrades suite with 2 bedrooms, so we went with the suite! Of course we will have to sit through a sales presentation for their property, but that isn't a big deal- it's worth if for the great roo,. The one we are staying at it closer to Sea World. It's called Marriott Cypress Harbor. We may think about going to Sea World's new water park now.... we'll see. It's best to wait and see what John plans out.

Having dinner with Kim, Tom, Emily and Brian over at their house tonight. Wish you all could be there too!!!!

Marion--When in June are you going? I just found good airfares & booked 2 free & 2 paid tickets. We have our APs & of course our DVC points to stay. My goal is to actually eat in the room more to cut costs. We are going June 11th-18th. We'll be there for Father's Day. I booked LTT for dinner just before parade & fireworks.

Char--I'm glad you survived the stress test & that the cardiologist has good news for you. We still have the bear. We kept him so Nana could take him to WDW. We can't take it anywhere, so the bear has no one in the pictures w/ him.

Christine--Maybe we can see you if you come to Chicago again.


We did miss one night of our trip b/c of the weather. School got cancelled for everyone on Wed. We went to Midway Airport early, but not a single flight ever made it out to Orlando. Part of it was there were no planes on the ground by the time, the weather cleared. We got to Tampa & rented a car. It was the only way to get there. It was all worth it.

Good morning everyone!

Just had to post a public thank you to the Goyda family. They hosted dinner last night at their house for us. It was a wonderful evening. It is so neat how Brian gets along with the girls. Emily is getting so grown up! She is so helpful!! The food, drinks and company were the best!

Mary- We are going to go to WDW the Sunday on Memorial Day weekend and fly home on the Tuesday the following week, so we won't be there when you go. Is Nana going again with you guys?

Cold, windy and rainy here today, so far. Hope everyone has a great day! I am thrilled that we are off school tomorrow- just love 3 day weekends!
