If you are referring to the physical fish extender itself (which many people decorate), that is something you make or purchase yourself and then bring along on the cruise. Other families in your FE group will then put small gifts in the pockets throughout the week.

Darn! Is it possible to bring some things to put into other FE without signing up?

I'm not sure I quite understand your question. You don't have to be part of a group to fill your own fish extender or maybe a friend's that you are traveling with. You can always create pixie dust for your own family, you just won't be receiving gifts from other people. Does that help?

Thank you for answering my questions. This is our first cruise, and your patience with me is greatly appreciated. Your answer does help. I am happy to create my own magic for my kids. I wanted to also give some magic/gifts to others on the ship, I'm not expecting anything from anyone else. Is this possible?

Hi Denise - welcome! - Congrats on your first Disney Cruise too!! - One TIP for you - if you loved the cruise - be sure to book a place holder cruise while on board. I believe it is a $200 deposit and you will get 10% your next 7 night or longer cruise in the next 18 or 24 months(check out the details on board) Deposit is refundable up to a certain date as well.

Now - to answer your question - Yes - feel free to create your own magic for your kids - Anyone can hang a Fish Extender - or something from the fish that is locate on the side of their cabin door - and adding a little magic/gifts to any other fish extenders that you pass by is certainly a way to spread a little pixie dust too!
