we are dressing up!!! i went crazy day after halloween, so the kids & i are set. i don't know what my husband is going to do. and my mom said she would do something. the post card thing is where you go to the thread under helpful links, and it says pay it forward or something like that. people who are going on the cruise add their name, which means they are willing to send you a postcard, you pm them your name and address and while they are on the boat, they get a character to sign it, and pop it in the mail. then hopefully we "pay it forward" and put our name there that we are willing to do the same for others. it's kinda like a surprise for our kids, and a way to kick off how close the cruise is.

Wow! I stopped getting notifications so I didn't think there was anythig going on here!

I did make some decisions on the trip. I moved our arrival to Saturday afternoon. We are going to stay at the Hilton LAX for the night. We get in around lunch and then we are going to take one of those 4 hour bus tours of the Hollywood sights. I booked with Starline Tours but I am not hearing the best reviews on them so I am nervous. However, they seem to be one of the few that pick you up at the hotel. If anyone has another idea, I would love to hear it!

Then we will stay the night at the Hilton and take Disney transportation to the Port in the morning. I am getting excited about things!

The men in our family go all out... they totally have fun with it.. from OrientalTrading.com I bought swords, hook hands, eyepatches, necklaces, fake moustaches, earrings and tattoos... My DH grabbed the hook hand, eye patch, wore an earring, several necklaces and placed a moustache on his lip.. then proceeded to put them on his eyebrows too.. totally hillarious!

No Disneyland for us! We've done the Magic Kingdom so many times! It's been a while since we've done Disneyland - I'd be more open to going back and trying the parks and sightseeing at another time we we can be there longer. We just did DisneyWorld in July, so it's time for a break!

California Adventure is about to undergo a MAJOR BILLION $ renovation so perhaps by the next time you come out it will be totally new.

Oh ! We loved California Adventure. I wounder what they could be doing. I loved the icecream shop. We happend to go in just before the parade started and got to watch from there. ALso, Soaring over CA. That ride is amazing.

Yes, it was that parade. It is a great one! So Colorful. We stayed at the Grand Californian. What a gorgeous hotel. Are room faced the park. I loved it. I would get up In the morning get the paper that was by the door, grab a cup of coffee and sit on the balcony. It was great because we could also watch then get ready for the day. What was also nice was we went on the water ride (the one you soak and wet) then we were able to walk into are hotel and change.

We are going. DH, myself, and 2 sons. DS 18 and DS 15... We wanted to do Alaska this year, but my boys wanted to do Disney, so here we come. I LOVE Disney, but I hope there will be more kids my boys' ages. Our DD's want to come too, but they are in college and working full time, so they can't. And we can't afford to bring our married children with their spouses and children. So I guess our last ones, are really spoiled and they get to go on a cruise with mom and dad.

Hi! and the more the better. Just wanted to let you know I added your family to the first post. That post also has what is happening on are cruise.

It is funny you said that your DS wanted to go Disney. Mine is graduating the week before we leave from college and he wanted to go. So he is. At first we did not book him on the cruise did not think he wanted to go but he did. As for me and DH any thing Disney is good for us.

So happy to have you join us! Like Flo said, the first post lets you know everything we are doing. My DS 25 is also traveling with us, as well as my DD, DSIL (just returning from Iraq tomorrow) and DGD.
