Those pictures are precious! She looks so cute all dressed up for Christmas! Disneyland looks great to. One of these days I am going to get to see Disney at Christmas and get some real Christmas things from the park not on line. Those pictures made my day.

Let me tell you about the weather we are having now. We went to see my son for his Birthday this past weekend. Today is his real birthday. We went on Saturday; on the way home we started to get sleet. ON Sunday you could have ice-skated on my street. Today they are predicting freezing rain. It is going to be one of those years.

You think since I have lived here all my life I would be used to this. Oh well what are you going to do.

I feel for you Flo... when I wake up in the mornings, it is 60 degrees in my house and I am freezing. I can NOT imagine having ice on the street!..I don't know how you or anyone else does it. I'm watching all the ice storms on the news and I am so grateful for my weather. Stay inside and keep warm... I recommend HOT Chocolate and cookies.

I don't know that we will do any excursions this trip...
But last time we did
Puerta Vallarta... Zipline Excursion
Mazatlan... Old Town Walking Tour- DO NOT RECOMMEND unless something has really changed to make it better
Cabo San Lucas... we walked around on our own and had a GREAT time.

I think we will just go out on our own and explore OR just stay on board and relax... I never seem to do that on vacation.

Funny you should ask about my knee... I am actually going today to do my pre-op appointment. I'm finally having surgery on Tuesday. Wish me luck and please say a little prayer for me.

OK Sandy!

I wanted to wait till I get back from the Orthopedic Surgeon to let you know. My left knee has been hurting allot. As my DH said it looked like I had an eye with a lid. I went to my regular doctor and he did not want to touch it. I am waiting for them to call for an appointment for the open MRI. He says it is a little arthritis and a possible rip in the ACL. If it is the ACL he wants to do arthroscopic surgery to correct it. If not he said that maybe a cord ozone shot. I am hoping that they will call me on Monday since I am off.

That is my wonderful news for today.

Oh NO Flo... I'm sorry to hear that... are you able to walk at all? What did you do? Did you fall or twist yourself? I stepped wrong onmy foot and tore my ACL and that is what is wrong with me although the ACL tear doesn't bother me as much as the torn Miniscus. I'm praying for you to NOT have the torn ACL and that all you need the orthoscopic surgery .

Long Long time ago I feel on my knee and it has been fine. But now were I work I walk allot and I think that is why I started to have trouble. So we will see. I just want to go for the MRI as soon as I can and get it over with.

We both have a cruise to get ready and better for. If I have to have any type of surgery I just have to decide when. We also leave for Florida on February 23rd for Steven’s last year of Baseball.

Thanks for the concern. Will let you know what they find... How did the pre opt go? Also, when you feel up to it let us know how the surgery went.

Oh no a COugh ! to get you better, so that you can get it done. Take cough medicine, ny quil and any thing else you can think of. What I have been taking for a cough is the robusussin cough syrup in jell caps. I think it works fast. I know it did for me.

Thank you to everyone for all your prayers and kind thoughts for me during my surgery. It all went VERY well. I'm on pain meds and HIGH as a kite, but I'm in NO pain and I can WALK around without crutches or a cane! I'm so surprised and proud of myself. Mom and Trae are taking care of me and running the daycare for me as I recouperate. I'm glad that we are closed next week so that we can all take a much needed break. I get to change my bandage on Friday and I get my stitches out next week on Wednesday. I hope this will be the end of my knee problems and that I won't have to have the ACL repaired as well.
Time will tell.

That is just great! I am so glad it went so well. It must be great for you to be able to walk on it all this time. That is great about next week. It will give your family some time together.

As for my MRI. It was not ripped. It is badly sprained. I have to go for a cortisone shot. I never knew that you could bet a sprain like that. I am going to go from the shot on the 31st. Last time I got a cortisone shot in my heal I was not happy. They told me that on the day I get it I will feel real good, but the day after I will need to ice it on and off. We will see. As long as it helps.

I got a cortizone shot on my wrist once for carpul tunnel syndrome.... it was WONDERFUL the first day... the next day it was awful an it KILLED my wrist... I thought I would die... I kept ice on it and it helped, but it still hurt like crazy... the third day it was all better and I was so glad it was over... just remember that is gets better eventually. Good Luck and I'm glad it is not a torn ACL... although a sprain is almost as bad.

Flo, I hope you are nice and toasty warm up there... Stay inside if you can... from what I see on tv, it looks like outside is no place to be.

Today is my DH's birthday! We will be celebrating with a nice Birthday dinner and cake later this evening. Then for the rest of the month, he gets to have pretty much anything he wants by adding "Its my birthday month" to the request. This is what we all do when it is our birthday... it works out great for me-7/2 and DS-2/5 and DD-2/12 as our birthdays are at the begining of the month.. but poor DH only has a week to get in all his wishes.

I finally got to go out shopping yesterday and I did a little damage to the bank account as I found LOTS of stuff for Lily on SALE... and everyone knows you can't pass up a SALE.
