Looking at a summer trip...want to go a Sun-Sat because we want to rent DVC points. We went the last week of June in 2002 and it was UNSEASONABLY rainy...FLA experienced more rain than usual...was all over the news...lucky us! We are looking at the last week of June again through the middle of July...preferably not over the 4th as I imagine crowds would be high???

Anyone have any good advice about when to go during this time that they could help me out with???? Thanks sooooo much in advance!

July 4th is nuts....totally crowded.

I think weather wise June and July are both pretty "hot" (like walking on the surface of the sun, but you know that already). :teeth:

Can't really help with advice when to go...only have been once...I can only go in the summer because I teach. I can relate to your June 2002 rain trip!

We went June 2002 and could not believe the RAIN!! Every morning we would get up and would have to listen to...."Another record-breaking rainfall in Florida is expected today!" from the weather forcasters on the news. I felt like crying everyday! We are going again in June 2006 and I am hoping for better weather. My DH hopes it rains a lot again because it really kept the crowds down. I don't remember waiting in any lines and going to and from the parks was a breeze. I wonder if we are in for a big shock this coming June?

We went the second week of June last year and it was normal for rain. We even had the remnants of a tropical storm come through and we just happened to have ADRs or were able to head into shops or inside attractions when the steady rains came.

Oh, June 2002...man alive...what a depressing Disney trip, was it not?!!!!

If you want to rent a DVC reservation from a member, you don't have to go from Sun-Sat. You can choose any time frame. Not the typical timeshare.

But if you want to go in June or July, you need to be getting your reservation real soon. We tried last Jan to get a week at BCV in June and it was sold out. The 7 month advantage is over for home resorts, so all members can switch their reservations at their home resorts to non-home resorts.

If hurricane season is anything like it was this year, the rain and bad weather will start in early June.
