Day 8

We started our last day in the parks bright and early this morning. While we still did not make rope drop, we were there not to long after. We decided we wanted to accomplish two things today…..ride everything we absolutely wanted and try to fit in some of the Christmas around the world where we could. We also had dinner scheduled for the newly refurbished Nine Dragons.

We started off our day with the bus ride to EPCOT.

I don’t think they are too happy it’s our last day in the World.

We started off in the Land. We road sorin’ and rode living with the land again.

We stopped off for a treat that we loved so much, then headed to say goodbye to Figment.

Goodbye figment! We love you!

Then it was on to Test Track.

DH probably said goodbye to Mission Space sometime in there as well. He REALLY loves that ride.

We headed over to the countries at this point.

We visited the Mexico Christmas Santa’s

We watched the Chinese Christmas exhibit but the boys weren’t too interested in this one, so we moved on.

It was time for our dinner in China and the only pictures of food I got were of desert. I have to note that we really didn’t care for the new menu. It was a bit disappointing.

It got dark while we were eating. So when we came out we decided to head over to Norway for our final ride on Malestrom.

When we got off the ride the Norwegian Christmas was going on. We watched the end of that before we moved on.

We headed back toward the front of the park. We were ready to go back to the hotel and I wanted to run some errands to Downtown Disney.

We took one last spin on Spaceship Earth, and one last picture of DH’s hat.

Goodbye EPCOT

We got the boys back to the hotel and went to DTD in search of a big can of the best coffee ever. If you haven’t tried it, the holiday blend of Disney coffee is just awesome.

I located the coffee and went in search of some treats. We had MANY snack credits left and I wanted to use them up!

If you haven’t tried the create your own treat at Goofy’s. I would highly recommend it.

Candy covered pretzel rods.

They were just delicious.

I headed back to the hotel and we packed for the ride home tomorrow. We were sad to go, but with 4 kids it had been a great but tiring trip.

The ride home was great. The kids were tired enough they slept A LOT. It was great!

We knew it would be the last trip for a little while to Disney. I still hold out hope for another trip next year.

We had an awesome trip. The boys kept asking when we were going back. At the time we had no plans for a while. We knew things at work were unstable. Layoffs were coming. We knew I would probably be one of the many laid off. We decided we'd be back but not until we finished paying for this trip and I got a new job and everything was stable.

In Feb. I got the official "thanks for your many years of service but your position is being moved to a 3rd world country, your package will be.... and we will need you to train your replacement until November". I of course got my resume' ready and began the search for my next adventure. The lord was with me and guided me to a new position that is great. We had to move to a new city, but luckly it wasn't too far from where we lived. We got settled down and Disney is always on our minds. In Nov the coveted PIN code fairy saw their way to bless us with a 40% off code. We took a look at everything and decided by June when the kids were out of school we could afford to take the plunge again!!!

We booked for June 5-12 at the Wilderness Cabins with the dining plan. I decided to spread the news to my dad and see if by chance they wanted to go with us. After all he took me on the trip that started my Disney obsession! He was estatic. He talked to my step-mom and little sister and they decided they wanted to come too!

Now we are a grand gathering and I get to plan it all. Oh my goodness, I am going to need help....I've never planned a trip for so many people. We are now a group of 9. Yay!

I will be starting my PTR today!! Hope you follow along.

Thanks for reading and putting up with my rambling...I hope you enjoyed it!!!

Great wrapup! So glad God worked life out for you. Can't wait to read all about the grand gathering.
