Day 3 Part 1

November 23

Today we are headed back to our favorite park (well DH & I’s anyway). We had missed being here from our Honeymoon. What would it be like with the kids?

We started our day out with our PP’s.

Ever wonder what a picture would look like when you stare into the sun at the brightest time of the day? Well wonder no more….here is what we looked like.

We were reunited with our Duck friends from our Honeymoon!

Then on to Figment and to play after.

We saw this as we headed to the World Showcase and to our lunch ADR at Le Cellier.
We thought the sun looked like a cross in this picture.

While we waited for our table to be ready we took a couple of fun pic's.

DS13 had a frozen Sour Apple drink. He said it was awesome.

I have to interject here for a minute. In all these lovely picture a lie is facilitated. You see, they make it seem as if organizing a family of six to order their food and eat is easy peasy. But I must confess...not so. There is a lot of softly spoken stern words of "will you just please decide what you want already!" Oddly enough though at LeCellier, everyone must have been just starving or something because the kids knew quickly what they wanted.

Day 3 Part 2

We all know Desert is the best part...well when they are awesome they are anyway.

The Deserts here continued with surprises!!

DH had decided to share with all of us. Good thing he did too because it was just way to much sugar for us.

We decided after lunch to head back to the hotel for a break. I don't have any pictures or notes about this break, so it must have been well needed and uneventful!

When we came back we headed over to Test Track. The boys were really excited about this. They love fast cars and racing. I don't think they were quite prepared for everything in the ride though!

First run on Test Track – This just cracks me up!

They loved the race car at the exit. DH and boys had to get their pictures taken with it. DS13 & I passed.

Then to the Cool Zone for some investigation.

Then we headed over to TTWC, the boys really got a kick out of the interaction. Then to the shark prop. This is always and adventure! The lines are as long for the this picture op as for Turtle Talk itself. It does make the cutest pictures though.

Up next.....there will be some bangs, pops, ooo's, and ahhh's, but will I be able to see?

Day 3 Part 3

Then it was time to get a spot for Illuminations.

We sat in the Wheel Chair Accessible section. It was great to be somewhere we could get DS13 up close to the rails so he could see without anyone getting in front of him.

When we got back to our rooms tonight it was DH & I’s turn for the surprises.

DH & I really loved being back in EPCOT today. It wasn’t the same with all the kids as our Honeymoon, but it was still great. Just completely different experiences.

DS 13 is doing great so far. He is really not complaining too much other than not wanting to ride in the wheelchair. I can tell he’s starting to feel better since he’s complaining.

We collapsed again tonight.

Up tomorrow…DHS and oh mamma mia will we like the food?!

I have a big announcement! We have decided to go back to Disney in 2010! We were lucky enought to get a 40% off code for the beginning of June!! Now to finalize the dates to go along with everyone's school release dates etc!

Big Announcement update!

I e-mailed my dad about our new trip and asked if they might want to come with us. We have been talking about them going with us for YEARS. Much to my suprise they called us Friday and they are going! I called today and made their reservations. We are now a GRAND GATHERING!!

So here's what I know now::

We are staying at the Fort Wilderness Cabins
Our trip is June 5-12 and dad and company will be there June 7-12.
We are doing the park hoppers with no water park option
The dining plan is a go.

We are so excited! Dad is so pumped as well. Even DH is excited his father in law is coming along.

We are kind of wondering how it will all go with 9 of us this time. It does remind me of a trip report I read about hearding cats. LOL

Day 4 DHS Part 1

November 24

Today we are off to DHS. We are planning on lunch at Mamma Melrose and Fantasmic tonight!

The boys wake up happy and ready to go! Wow....sometimes them waking up this happy is a little crazy!

We load the bus and head to DHS. We don’t make RD but we are early. We know we HAVE to get FP’s for TSM NOW!! So we head that way.

My score is on the red side. Still pretty sad...but better...I did get better after a few rides.

DS 9 is in love with all things army so when he saw this guy a picture was not even up for debate. It was happening!

TOT- DS 13 and I sat this ride out. As you can tell DS5 & DS7 loved their first ride on TOT. I am thinking the death grip on daddy's are is just an expression of their happiness. DS10 loves all things scary when it comes to rides, so he's actually having fun, sadly you can't see him though. Someone's hair is in front of his face.

Day 4 Part 2
Then it was on to pictures with "Cars". The little guys LOVE this movie so they were all excited to get their picture taken with them.

Day 4 Part 3

In our last post, CARS were VERY loud, poor inocent souls were douced, and DS was contemplating the dark side.

In this episode......You will be visiting the family with DHS day in process. There will be reving it up moments, getting the stink eye, confusion, wheelies, noxious gases, and fighting lessons?

Since we had been on the backlot tour the boys (ALL of them) insisted on a visit to LMA.

Why do boys think even just posing with cars is so cool? Hey man, I was there....I even got to touch them. Score!

DS13 while we are waiting for LMA to start. The handicap seating was really pretty good for this show, and he was happy so I could not complain.

These guys sat in front of us...I think that one is giving me the stink eye no? The other one seems confused, he's truly his father's boy I think.

LMA in no particular order (sorry) Then the show started!

It was pretty cool....they are in and out of the arena very quickly, kinda crazy...like rush hour on the tollway in Dallas. I think some of these guys were hand picked from there for this show.

i was thoroughly loving the show until I noticed the cloud we had been watching below us was now on us. I tried to act all cool like the noxious tire smoke was no problem....but then came the coughing. DH told me to "man up", that it was the sweetest smell there was. I think he's inhaled way to many fumes in this show!

Once the cloud moved on, we saw these crazy guys. I think they have been watching DH drive WAY too much. Gentlemen.....please keep all 4 wheels safely on the ground!

Kids please do not try this at home! (yes kids of all ages) I think this part of the show should almost come with a disclaimer....

"WARNING.......These yahoo's are professionals, and while they may not be any smarter or more talented than you are, they have the right equipment and someone smarter watching them!"

We seriously had a good time with this show. It's a guys paradise and so it makes it so easy to make fun of.

We stopped so Mr. Grumpy wouldn't come out then grabbed a couple of the frozen cokes. Yummy! Then we were almost run over by some holagans hanging off a car that was playing this really LOUD music. DS's insisted they were the good guys and that we meet up with them for some defense lessons. I was sadly out numbered so I had no choice but to smile and say of course dear.

We waved goodbye to these guys and as they left I may or may not have shouted something to them about learning how to drive or where did they get their drivers license. This may or may not have caused the tractor beam that seemed to show up and pull us toward Star Tours with a quickness.

We were granted one reprieve from the pull for these pictures. You can clearly see the effects of the tractor beam from the boys faces.

Then we were off to Endor.

When we returned, I had a splitting head ache. That ride always does that to me. I'm not good with motion simulators apparently. I decided I wanted an escape and somewhere I could sit down for a while.

So we headed over to the GMR. I personally love this ride/show.

We actually got seated in the front section of cars this time and got to see the wild west CM piece instead of the mobster piece.

Sidebar. Did anyone see 90210 this week? the knowledge this ride gave me about Johnny Wisemiller was referred to and I knew the answer! It took me back to Disney all over again! Sidebar concluded.

Up next.....We take a ride that may cost us our lives or our lunch, we get to see a mouse in a magicians hat, and I may or maynot try to smuggle some Christmas decorations.

I think I finally got all caught up. Congrats on the PIN code! That's awesome! Great photos as usuall. I'm kind of glad we missed LMA given the noise and heat. Once the girls are a bit older, I'm sure it'll be a bit more doable for us.

GB! Glad you stopped by! We are really stoked about the pin code. Of course this puts me in my favorite mode....disney planning mode. A little extra pressure since it will be our first time to vacation with parental units since my inagural visit when I was pregnant with DS13. I must admit I drank far more of the cool aid than my dad and step-mom did. I am so excited to be going with my little sister! She's 10 now and is really looking forward to getting to ride all the rides that my dad and SM have now gotten to adverse to. I think it will be great fun!

Have I mentioned I LOVE to take pictures? I am really enjoying your pictures as well.

LMA is quite loud but with boys there is no missing it. It is a cool show though. You should see it at least once. (can't wait to hear about your next trip...)

Day 4 Part 4

In our last episode…..fumes were inhaled, insults might have been shouted, tractor beams were felt, and we all became hostages.
In this episode…..we take one more ride on the evil elevator, we get to see some mouse in a magicians hat, and I once again try to smuggle some Christmas decorations to take home.

DH & DS9 wanted to ride TOT. Still pretty full from lunch I will be definitely sitting this one out with DS13.

When they were done there, it was time for Fantasmic! Thankfully this was before the twice a week stuff. So while the crowds were heavy we didn't have to wait more than 30-45 min's.

Then we took some night time pictures, the Christmas decorations, and then back to the hotel.

This looks a lot like a mug shot for some reason.

Can I take that home with me???

We had an awesome time today. The boys loved DHS. I’m glad I have another day planned here. We still have lots to try and everybody wants more rides on TSM. Is that going to be doable??

Tomorrow we are back in the MK!

Day 5 Part 1
November 25

Wow…Day 5 already? How quickly vacations fly by!

Today was nice during the day and pretty chilly at night. I actually loved that. It was nowhere near as cold as Texas gets at night, but still cold enough to require a jacket and jeans. I thought it was awesome; it really made you feel the holidays were here.

I started out the morning with a stroll around the resort. I took some pictures as the sun came up and enjoyed the quiet for a while. It was really nice to have the moment to myself.

Then it was time to get the crew ready for the day at MK!!

We got there fairly early although not at RD, we never made one of those.

We were headed toward Tomorrowland when the boys saw the cars were only a 5-10 min wait. We had been telling them for days, not now the line is too long. Of course they are getting to the ages they will call you on the things you say. So we ended up on the cars. DH and the boys went. They did the child swap thing and I stayed with DS12 who didn’t want to ride the cars. We rode the tea cups instead. (insert motion sick momma here)

I was able to catch a few picture of them coming back in the station.

Sadly DS12 and I saw a little boy about 10 get rear-ended in the line and hit his face on the steering wheel. I’m sure there were stitches involved, it looked quite bad. I never thought of this ride as a dangerous one, but later that day we saw a boy carried off in a stretcher. He had stepped out of his car the wrong way and into traffic and was hit by one of the cars. Needless to say we have made sure the boys know the rules and here’s a big one “PAY ATTENTION”.

I took some pictures of the holiday décor while we toured so you will see some of that scattered through the trip report. I loved these wreaths.

We watched the train as sadly we couldn’t ride while DS12 was in the wheelchair as it didn’t get to go on the train. So we walked over to Fantasy Land.

We headed over to IASW and as always it was a walk on.

As we sang our way out of the doors we quickly tried to find something else to take that music out of our heads!

Day 5 Part 2
So when we last left off, there were early morning solace pictures, a car wreck, some queasy momma’s, and some kids chained to the floor singing the same song over and over again….

What could possibly top all that?

Hmmm what’s close? OOOOhhhh I know! HM!!!

We herded our way over to HM. Watched the headstone watch us. Had to watch the stretching walls as we held the two smaller boys in our arms under the chant “it’s not real, it’s only pretend”. Finally as we all started to relax on the ride some guy decided to hop in the buggy with us. He was kind of opaque so I was pretty sure he was a ghost. Hmmm well what’s one more? Guess they are down to 998 now.

Seriously though, as always we enjoyed this ride.

Next we headed over to BTMRR for some fast passes! Then we decided we needed to be Pirates for a while.

Ooo scary!

Then Captain Hook challenged us for our treasure. We of course won…no thanks to DH!! LOL

Then it was on to the Jungle Cruise. What do you get when you send countless boats is various states of repaid down a single track? Well I don’t know, but I can tell you what happens when a tunnel gets backed up from a boat that just dies!! Well you get to see a lot of the backside of water. Yes folks we got to sit there for about 10 min’s. I never had to go so bad in my entire life. I was so glad to get off that boat and to the facilities immediately!

But seriously we enjoyed the ride all the same. Each skipper has the same but different dialog. I really appreciated the skippers with their own jokes!

I took a breather from pictures for a while until our dinner at LTT. This was of course when it still had the character dinning. Don’t think I’d go now without these guys. Our reservations weren’t until 8:45!! It actually worked out well, but who would have thunk that?

You can see DS13 is starting to feel better! I started getting more smiles out of him.

Sorry for the delay in posting. I have been having a great time with DS7 & DS6. They have been here for this Thanksgiving week. It's been a total blessing. Now that I've had the major throw down of food....twice.....I am back and ready to post an update. Staytuned one will be coming this afternoon.

Day 5 Part 3

Lights, Singing, and Dancing

We got out of dinner right about the time of the second Spectro that evening, and let me tell you… …there were no crowds.

We walked right up to the ropes and sat right down in front of LTT. It was awesome. I apologize if they are out of order.

Then we went on over to the Mouse’s House for our pictures with the big cheese. He of course was expecting us all. Even though I could have sworn I saw his eyes get a little bigger when he saw ALL of our boys.

Minnie LOVED all the boys and I think this made Mickey a bit nervous….I think she’s looking for that ring and some babies of her own, but that’s just my opinion. I mean really Mickey…she’s been waiting how many years now???

When we got back to the room we had some nice surprises! I couldn’t believe it. How awesome!

Up next Day 6 what will be to come? Some bus adventure pictures….and no not the short bus. Oh and we decided to take on MK again before the crowds hit tomorrow on the big T-Day!.....oh yeah, uh huh…T-day in Disney!

Day 6 Part 1

MK here we come!

We started out this morning pretty early and boarded the bus.

DS13 gets the first ride of the day!

DH got pretty good and the bus routine.

I insisted on early pictures by the castle. Have I mentioned I’m a bit castle obsessed?

Next we headed to one of the boys favorite rides. The cars.

DS13 wanted to ride the tea cups after the cars, so I was happy to take him.

We headed to Tom Sawyer Island today. DH and I were serenaded on our raft ride over. I believe it was “Can you feel the love tonight” from The Lion King.

DS13 had to leave the wheelchair for tour of the island. I was a bit nervous about this and decided to keep a close eye on him. DH says this is my mother bird instinct, but I’m cool with that.

I have a gap in pictures from here to dark, but that’s okay.

We rode the carousel. I chose to sit this one out and take pictures. I really loved watching the boy’s faces and just taking in their excitement.

I really thought the flowers around the carousel were beautiful.

I caught this picture of the castle at dusk. I love this picture.

We rode the cars again next. (big surprise I know)

It was time for our dinner at Tony’s so we headed over there.

Appetizers were a mozzarella and tomato salad for me, calamari for all, and DH had a Caesar salad.

Also had some complimentary bread.

I cannot confirm nor deny there may have been bites taken before I was able to take some of these shots. We were pretty hungry tonight.

We were pretty tired after dinner and decided to head back to the hotel. When we got to our room we had more towel animals! So awesome.

We were all quickly out after our showers tonight. It had been a totally awesome day.

Tomorrow we head back to DHS & it's Thanksgiving Day!

Day 7 Part 1

Thanksgiving Day!

I requested morning pictures again today and everyone was glad to comply. I guess I am getting them trained! Little did I know we would have LOTS of pictures with the characters today.

We even posed with our man made Mickey Ears

We even got pictures in front of TOT.

The boys posed in front of RNR. I thought it was too cute.

We of course had to have a picture of DH goofing off.

DH & DS 9 went on RNR while the rest of the boys and I went to the gift shop to wait on them. They decided there was some head gear they all needed to try on while we were in there. It was pretty funny.

We had lunch at Sci-Fi. It was good, but I didn’t catch many pictures.

We stopped by the Art Studio and caught this picture. The boys really liked this attraction.

We headed over by Mamma’s and took some candid shots!

Then on to TSM for a rematch!

Day 7 Part 2

We decided to visit the Indy show. This was something DH & I skipped on our honeymoon, so it was cool for him to experience something for the first time with the boys.

DHS was closing early tonight…8pm I think, so I had made dinner ressie’s at Teppan Edo. We took our parting shots and decided to Park Hop!

We park hopped to EPCOT and rode a couple of rides and met these cuties!

We took a few shots in front of the tree and archway. This archway blows me away. The way the lights synchronize and move. Beautiful!

We headed out to the rest of the countries next.

We LOVE Teppan Edo. So it was on DH’s must repeats from our honeymoon. We somehow convinced ALL the boys to wear the chef’s hats! Too cute!

When we got done with dinner the park was practically deserted. Illuminations had been during our dinner. It was cool to get the deserted night time pictures of the park.
