Jumping, Dancing & Jamming Our Way Through Walt Disney World! I'm With the Band Now!

HAPPY LATE ANNIVERSARY LISA! :lovestruc

I looks like a good start (not the waiting so long for your card to get activated) and it looks like you all got a few gifts out of the way too.

It brought a tear to my eyes when you said it was Lacey's last night in the house as a single woman. I hope she made it there without any problems!

I can't wait to see how the rest of your day goes!

You know - that food made me hungry the first time you posted and it just had the same effect. Thanks! :rotfl:

Fun update. I love seeing all the stores I don't normally visit. Glad Hunter got some cards in the magic store and that HD store looks pretty cool, too.

Hi Lisa,

I am catching up. Great report on your Tennessee trip! It is so nice to read about a family that has such an enjoyable time together!

It was stated about a hundred times but here is the hundred and first...those are awesome pics of Lacey and Jessee at the fountain :thumbsup2

Back on the Disney TR...great pics of the Lego store. I am looking forward to seeing the new creations myself. I have never been to the West side of DTD. The magic store looks fun. You indicated it was pricey there. About how much does a card trick go for?

Nice to see your welcoming committee at the resort :)

I totally forgot to tell ya'll something.......today is our 27th wedding anniversary! I can't believe I forgot to share the news. Actually, yes I can believe it since we've got another marriage on our brains right now.

I shall proclaim my love for John McBride from the rooftops.....err....Disboards! HAPPY 27TH ANNIVERSARY! I LOVE YOU!
Happy Anniversary Lisa and John!!
My anniversary is also this month on the 17th. I too am married to a John. 38 years for us.
Loving the report so far, looking forward to update and the wedding!

Great DtD photos! It looks like it wasn't too busy that day.
Hunter looks a little too comfortable on that motorcycle. How long before he gets his license??? ;)

3) We were starving so we decided to see if Rainforest Cafe could seat us earlier. They could! We ate some of this:

Hi Lisa,
I just wanted you to know, that I thought of you while we ate at RF at AK recently. When looking at the menu, I remembered the picture you had posted of this plate and I decided I'd make it mine as well. :)

Here's mine:

I ordered it as my entree too, it was yummy. Wish I had some now!

Gosh, it's hard to believe there's only 5 more days until Lacey's wedding! I have been keeping you all in my prayers. I hope she has a wonderful wedding day and a blessed marriage! (I have a feeling
she will!) ;)
And like everyone else around here I can't wait to see her wedding pics!

Love this picture- the expression on Hunter's face is great!

Looks like a nice start to your trip at DTD. Yummy meal, fun shopping and sight seeing.

The new Lego sculptures are amazing! What an interesting job that must be. "I play with Legos for a living"

I hope you all have a wonderful week leading up to the wedding!!!

Great updates, Lisa. I'd heard of that new store with the "mismatched" stuff and that things were a little pricey.

Glad Hunter found what he wanted.

I cannot believe you packed the jeep and then had to repack it.

Please let us know when Lacey has arrived safely.

Those new hand dryers are pretty awesome - are they exceptionally loud like the other air dryers? I hate that, it sounds like you're in a wind tunnel .

The spice and tea place looked like they had some fun stuff! I was sniffing with caution because of my allergies, but it seemed like they had a ton of flavors to choose from!

Good morning! I was hoping to get replies posted yesterday but couldn't quite find the time. We are leaving for Georgia tomorrow when I get off work so I'm trying to get everything off my desk. My boss has several appointments today and I'm thinking that will give me time to at least post an update if not replies.

Lacey made it safely to Georgia by way of Tennessee. Bet you're wondering why she went through Tennessee to get to Georgia. Well, the silly girl put the Mapquest directions in her Jeep the night before she left but put the wrong ones in. The majority of the drive to Georgia is the same as the one that takes us to Tennessee....we get off on the same exits for over 300+ miles. She didn't even notice it when she took the exit and started towards Tennessee instead of Georgia (it's the same exit but you veer a different direction) until she was about 2 hours away from Knoxville. We picked on her and told her that her mind was on Jesse instead of Georgia. ;) I couldn't blame her even if she did do it on purpose. What other person sees their fiance' only 5 times a year?

She went on to Knoxville and stayed the night in their apartment and then left the next day for Georgia. She has already gotten a good bit of preparation done. The steps leading up to the front of the stage/pulpit needed painting and she's done that. She made the money tree. She met with the cake decorator and paid the deposit for the cake. Yesterday, she met with the lady at the church who coordinates the weddings. Everything seems to be going smoothly so far.

On Sunday, the ladies at the church in Georgia gave her a shower and they received some really nice gifts. I had to laugh when she said she got four iron skillets. She got four at the wedding here in Louisiana too! They also received quite a few gift cards which will definitely come in handy. One of the ladies gave them a prepaid Visa card and told them that they were to go out to eat at a fancy restaurant during their honeymoon with it.

As I said, we are leaving when I get off work tomorrow and will be driving as far as we can/want. My mother, sister and niece will be following us. We'll make the rest of the drive on Thursday. I absolutely abhor driving through or around Atlanta so I enlisted the help of my Disfriends and Lacey's church friends. I think we've found an alternate route. We will have to drive through some little towns but we won't be stuck in the horrible Atlanta traffic.

Our travel party has dwindled down from 10 people to just six. Several could not take off work and make the long trip because they had already taken off work for either health or personal reasons. John's parents and one of his brothers and his family are coming on Friday. I can just imagine what they are going to be like once they get there. They are very "country" and think that coming to our town is like coming to the "big city" when, in fact, it's not a big city at all. Anyway, I can just hear them fussing about the traffic now. I'm going to offer to print out the alternate route that I have found but I don't think they'll use it since they are following John's brother and they are using Mapquest's route that takes them closer to Atlanta.

Oh well, I hear my boss telling somebody in his office to come get a form from me. I better get off here and see what they want. I'll be back later.....I promise!

Have a safe trip to Georgia. I know the wedding will be fantastic. I hope you all have a great time. Congratulations to Lacey & Jesse!! :goodvibes
What is that poor girl going to do with EIGHT iron skillets?!?!! :confused3

I hope you have a safe trip and a good time. Looking foward to seeing the pictures of the wedding. Tell them congrats from your Dis friends.

If I don't get back on here later, I just wan to wish safe travels for everyone and A big CONGRATULATIONS for Lacey & Jesse !

Lisa, in case I don't get back here later, I want to wish everyone safe travels, and I wish Lacey and Jesse a beautiful wedding and a very happy life together. Hugs and Love to all of you.

Hi Lisa,
I will be praying for safe travels for everyone involved in the wedding. You and John have done a wonderful job raising your bride to be :bride: and I know she will have a beautiful wedding.

I hope your day at work tomorrow is not too stressful and that you are able to get out on time.

We will all be thinking of you! :grouphug:

Glad Lacey made it to Georgia safe, even if she did take a slight detour! And she will never need any more iron skillets in her life. She can just pack the others away and take one out as they need a replacement! :lmao:

Hope you guys have a safe drive tomorrow/Thursday, and Lacey and Jesse have a wonderful wedding on Saturday. I'll be thinking of them while I'm having my bridesmaid dress fitted! :goodvibes

Safe travels to Georgia! I totally agree about the traffic in Atlanta!! :scared1: I do not ever want to live there!!

Cute story about Lacey going the wrong way! You can definitely tell where her mind is! :)

Those pictures from Rainforest Cafe look so yummy!! Hmm... I went inside RFC once just to use their restrooms and I realized we were still not ready for a meal in there. Beatriz would completely lose it with all those dinasours and thunder noises.

Great updates!
