Jump on it or wait?

When a new DVC resort is scheduled to open, do you try to get in it at first opportunity, or do you "wait" a certain period of time and let other DVC folks be the "guinea pigs" and see how they likeit, or wait for the inevitable "kinks" to be worked out, etc.?

Wait a second if I remember right the "KINKS" were a pretty good group. Now I'm showing my age.

Will book when we get an opportunity, but we neither rush to stay nor wait for early operation bugs to be worked out by others.

Paults - yes, the Kinks were very good!

I will go after they work out the kinks. We stayed at BCV just a week after they opened and found the door to our room did not lock. I also bought a VW New Beetle right after they came out and boy, were there a lot of kinks to be worked out!!!

If you are going to buy a timeshare from the developer, it's almost alwayas a good idea to buy as early as possible during preconstruction. This has been somewhat true for DVC and especially true for Marriott. If you want SSR either buy now if you can or wait to it goes to resale a few years down the road. Your other choice now is resale at another resort which is still the best choice for many people.
