July5,2003 Magic...who's going?

I was just looking through all the forms and noticed that my packets contain a Bahamas immigration form. Is there any reason we have to fill that one out?

Hello all. I just wanted to let you know that I contacted the DCL directly about the $50 reward. The lady asked me for the code and then she added it. Thank you joanb!!!

I love reading all of your posts. I can't wait. How do you add the countdown???

Well, I got to Home depot and got the mickey heads-they only had gamma sector green --no sonic green--I willl work on them, but doubt many in my family will wear them. I think I asked this...why green? And is it just people on the board that wear them or perhaps they are only for DVC people???

Dis Mama--glad you got your credit every bit counts on those stateroom bills.

Joan

Sorry Jeanneg, our team doesn't swim against yours. We won last night by over 100 points. Both my kids are realy tired. I can only imagine what the cruise will be like for them.

I noticed in the Disney guide that the kids club doesn't allow the kids to swim. Is there an age limit on their slide and do you have to have a parent there for them to use it? Also, do the councelors make sure the kids keep putting on sunscreen? My kids are very fair and are redheads.

Thanks!
Sue

Joanb: I have no clue how the idea of lime green ribbons originated, but I know that it has to do with identifying people who participate on the DIS boards. Although many of us own DVC, it has nothing to do with the green ribbons. When somebody discovered the Mickey heads at Home Depot, it was decided the green ones would function nicely as name tags. Don't agonize over the shade of green. The first few times I went to HD there were no sonic greens available so I took a bunch of the gamma sector and alien greens. I'm sure we'll spot you no matter what shade of green you wear. BTW, I know my kids won't wear name tags and my husband will probably only use it during sailaway, so don't feel bad about that. Once we get to recognize who's in our group, I probably won't continue to wear mine either!

Please note: the color green only refers to things worn. Skin color does not count :)

Oh no, you just reminded me I should go to GNC and pick up some of those ginger capsules. I don't want to be praying to the porcelain god when everybody else is partying!

sbennett-Hi there fellow "first-time cruiser". I read about the credit in these boards. I called the DCL directly and requested the first time cruiser credit. The Code now is CTC (it used to be REF). They actually asked me for the code and then just applied it. She stated it would not show up on our docs because they are already completed, but it would be on the ship as a voucher. I've heard that others have sometimes had problems on the ship receiving it, but after discussion with the cruise people on board got the credit. I got the name of the DCL phone rep for verfication.

Let me know if it works!!!!

Hi Dis Mama....well I'm glad you had more luck than me...DCL rep told me I had to get a Castaway Club card from someone who has sailed before that basically refers me to DCL and then I have to call them with the card # and when I get to the ship they would give me a $50 (oops she slipped and said the amount) credit to my shipboard account. I told her I had "the code" but she wouldn't do it.....apparently the veteran sailors have a packet from DCL with Castaway club stuff which has these elusive cards......anyone have one they're not using?
 :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

gometors-if the seas ar erough I will be green--missed my first dinner of the other cruises we taken.:(

Just received our cruise documents yesterday (Wed. 6/10) afternoon by UPS. Started to fill some out, almost done and very excited. I saw the wine package on one of th websites - no prices though. Does anyone have any links?

Anna
Try this website for more details on the wine packages

I think the cheapest one is $145 but I wouldn't hold me to that!
Their most recent navigators have the packages on the Saturday one.
Hope this helps.

Don't worry, Joan, we're going to have smooth sailing and perfect weather.

Just in case, if you want some expert advice on how to avoid the "greenies" ask my wife. She gets motion sickness riding the TTA (okay, I'm exaggerating a bit). She uses bonine sombined with the bracelets and hasn't had a problem since she started using both.

Sandy,

I hope in 19 days, you will be able to modifed your Dole Whip statement!! If I recall we had this conversation before. LOL!

See you at the Dole Whip stand!

Greenies: If I remember correctly, the health room has a bin of bonnine right outside it's door. I went down the first day and grabbed some "just in case"

sbennett, check your Private Messages, I am sending you a name and number, let's see if it works.

Brunch: I am now playing "phone tag" with Tonya at DCL group ressies. I am taking her number to work tomorrow and tring to call her.

I envy those that are already having swim meets, we can't even start practice for two weeks. Then five days of practice before the first meet.

The wine packages are $145 for standard and $265 for premium. We have tried several in the standard (via a local wine shop) and have been very pleased. FYI all the bottles serve about 4 glasses.

I will explode!!!! I keep checking - but nothing - they say they have to come through the Mid atlantic AAA - because it was a group thing it will be another week. We only have 21 days before we leave!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:(

I am done whining - so sorry - I just feel like a kid at Christmas.

What did I read about the kids cant swim on ship? I am curious.

Swim meets - our first one got stormed out - as a result next week we have three in one week!!! Again - here I am whining.

I am going to adjust my attitude (glass of wine) and I'll be better next time I promise!

:o
