July - which days would you pick?

We (family of four, two kids 11 and 13) have the opportunity to be in the parks in July, either the week beginning 9 July, or the next week. We were thinking three -four days would be fine as we have been often before (but never at this time).

Which days would you recommend? And which week(if it matters)? We will stay on site so MM is a factor. Was wondering about including a Saturday as it is blocked to all passes, and I have read some discussion before about this now being a factor in crowds.

Any help appreciated!thanks.

I'm going in July as well and we decided to go the furthest away from the 4th as we could so it would be a little less crowded. Therefore, I would go with the 2nd week. In regards to Saturday, I've always found it more crowded than weekdays regardless of the AP black outs. Note, not all the Annual Passports have black out dates. The premium has no blackout dates! And it's amazing how many people without annual passes go on the weekends (Disneyland offers discounts to Southern Cali locals) not to mention all the people vacationing. :) I would stick to the weekdays particularly the middle of the week.

We go in the summer and I always like going on Wed. We were there once Wed-Fri. and I noticed each day it was a little more crowded. When we stay in a hotel we usually take a break at the pool in the middle of the day rest go back and stay until closing.

My choice for summer is as many weekdays as possible. My perfect summer visit for four days is Monday-Thursday.

We are going July 10th-16th. So that is arriving Sunday afternoon. Visiting the parks for that evening, then going Monday-Friday. We are leaving on Sat when our APs are blocked out. Last year we went through Thursday and decided that Sat would be a better day to leave than a Friday. :) In my head I always think the start of the week would be less crowded than the end of the week, but last year, I recall it being about the same.
