Hi Everyone - I used the search in the Dis mother site to get projected hours for Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagood for July .. seem as if they *might* be open from 9am to 8pm .. is this normal for the Summer season - we are traveling July 2nd to the 8th to help Mickey celebrate the 4th of July. My plan of attack right now is

7/2 Sat arrive unwind pool / dinner @ Pop
7/3 Sun up early - ckin in OKW - hit AK for am till 3ish / back to OKW to get room assignment relax & swimm - head to MGM for EM eve stay till we are tired and did our fill of exciting stuff
7/4 Mon sleep in go to BB or TL -- hope for Illuminations cruise -- or PS for dinner O'hana
7/5 Tues go to BB or TL which ever we didn't make it to the day before - Campfire and movie in eve
7/6 Wed MK all day w/ break in afternoon for swimming / relaxing
7/7 Thurs Epcot all day w/ break in afternoon for swimming/ relaxing
7/8 Fri go to CM for late breakfast check out head back to airport

now on 7/6 and 7/7 I am throwing around the possibility of park hopping due to the fact that we will have 3 day hoppers so we can do that just not sure yet. In regards to the BB / TL days if they are really open till 8pm then we might just sleep in and go after Lunch when the crowds are heading home to have a rest ?? let me know what you think.. Thanks Michelle

The water parks will probably be open till 8....BUT at that time of year afternoon thunderstorms are around more often than they are not. So it is possible that the water parks will close for a few hours each day that you are there.

A good time to go is when they re-open after the storm clears. BB and TL are deserted!

Good luck,
Bob

I agree - one of the best times to go is AFTER the thunderstorms. We did this at BB and we had the place all to ourselves. Plus most people get there in the early morning so by afternoon they are getting tired and packing up to get back to their hotel.

Oh great Ideas! sleep in and head in after the storm ! Thanks

We are staying from the 2nd to the 7th, but at the Doubletree. I had to laugh as some of the things you are planning are ideas I have been working on ever since I received responses to the crowds that week! We decided to do a waterpark on the 4th since everyone mentioned that the crowds were so bad at the parks that day; we did not want it to be an unpleasant experience. We also decided to do the Poly that night to see the fireworks!

Great tiggrbaby I will look for you and your family!!! I hope to see lots of Lime green !!

We are going the same time...just staying one more day. I can't wait! Your plan sounds good. You can count on the afternoon t-storms so planning around them is smart. Just don't be disappointed if they drag on and you dont' have a chance to get to the water parks.

a rainy day in Disney is 10 x better then a rainy day at home ! I have tickets to the AMC movie theater in DownTown Disney plus there is always SHOPPING !! hee hee.. Can't wait to see you all there , thanks Michelle

We were there last year 6/25 thru 7/10. We planned on doing the very same thing that you are planning !! We LOVE sleeping in !! :cloud9: HOWEVER, it did not work out for us. We tried 3 times, each unsuccessfully, to get into BB between 10am to 11:30 (on 3 different days). Each time the park was closed because it was filled to capacity ! :sad2: It finally opened around 2 pm and then the storms started around 3pm and it closed again !! :umbrella: The bus wouldn't let us off there once it started raining. We did make it into TL when BB was closed but that was before Crush n Gusher - I am guessing that TL will be busier this year due to the new ride. I really suggest that if you have your heart set on doing the water parks that you get up and get there first thing. That is what we finally did and it was great because no one was there at 8 am !! By 1 pm we had done everything at least twice. The park filled, could barely move, and then those ominous black clouds rolled in !! But at least we were done and leaving anyway !! You can count on the storms, but not necessarily WHEN they will strike and when they will stop. Good luck to you and have a great time !!

Hi Bigsis,
We will be there the same time as you!! Checking in PO-R on 7/2 then on to OKW on 7/3. We'll see you at check in!!! I am not planning on a park that day-probably will get up and head over to OKW and just hang out until our room is ready. Maybe Ohana for dinner.
