July vs. October

Due to some unforeseen events, our first trip to WDW in August (w/ free dining) is no longer. We really wanted to go this year, and the only time we will be able to is July or August. So, I pose the question. If you were given a choice between the two (with school not a factor, fall break), what would you choose and why.

Not sure of when the choices come into play....title of your thread is July vs. October...inside your thread it's July or August.....so, with that being said.....if you are trying to choose between July and October my vote is October(non-holiday timing)....if it's between July and August-which you state you can't go in August...so you really don't have a choice it would have to be July.

October is a great time to be at Disney. We were there for Halloween 2002 and the weather was perfect. Ride lines moved very quickly and we didn't have any trouble getting into restaraunts. We are going back the Oct. for Halloween again.

July just seems pretty rough to me. Mega heat; crowds I would choose October

It was a mistype. The choice is between July and October. Sorry for that.

OCTOBER!!!! You'll have so much fun: smaller crowds, AND cooler weather! :thumbsup2

Yeah, I doubt you'll find anyone that would say July is a better time to go...
July you have extreme heat and humidity... plus all the summer vacationers....

Now, wait until October and you can attend MNSSHP, F&W festival, AND Oct 1 starts the Year of a Million Dreams Celebration... Plus, less heat/humidity (hopefully) :thumbsup2 So... no doubt, I'd vote for October.

I would rather not go at all than go in July.

October. No doubt about it.
