Hello everyone!

I was in Walt Disney World from July 2 to July 16.

It was amazing!

I'll be posting my trip report very soon.

Meanwhile, if anyone has any questions, I'd be more than happy to answer.

Here's a little souvenir of my trip ;)

Glad you had a great time! I'll try to check out your trip report.

So, it wasn't that crazy????? Great! How about the Brazalian Tour Groups--were they still chanting around???

Thanks for any more info you can bring me!

OMG yes, the Brazilian groups were all around my hotel.

When we saw which parks they'd get into, we'd pounder if we were going to that one or not lol

And when we went to Fantasmic, security had to tell them to calm down (or to shut up, since I didn't hear what they said hehehe)

But being 3 adults going together, we something only went for the evening, or only for the morning. So it was good. We used a lot of fastpasses and all.

And we went shopping on July 4;)

It was really hot.

but if you listen to your body it really is not THAT bad.

When you feel really hot you can go check out a store where they have A/C. We also had a little misty fan and we drank a lot. :)

We were there July 11-18. The worst crowds we had were our arrival day in MK. It started to rain and once it became obvious it was more than a quick shower, the indoor attractions filled up--there was a 30 minute wait for Small World.
Other crowds, using fastpass, were very manageable. If you know what you are doing you'll be fine.
Oh and those tour groups aren't just from Brazil--we saw Paraguay, Chile, Argentina as well. And they all like spandex! But compared to our last July trip in 2003 they were very well behaved.

We went July 8-16 back in 2001 and it wasn't bad then either. It was nowhere near as hectic as I've read on various sites. In fact, the resort we stayed at (CSR) was more than half empty and many of us who were staying there (us included) were getting free upgrades. They weren't expecting the resort to be even half full until by the time we left...when a convention came. I won't say the parks weren't crowded, but they weren't as bad as times we went in June...or even last August. I was surprised. Now, I can't say if it's the same for the actual 4th of July...since we arrived 4 days later.

Looking forward to reading your report.

I was at Magic Kingdom / Animal Kingdom on Saturday, July 15. Were you at either of those parks on that day?

I am soooo glad to read this post and am anxious to read your trip report! My daughter would really like to make a trip to WDW for her birthday trip next year...her birthday is July29th. :bday:

We have NEVER been in the summer, usually in February, once last year for Christmas (one of the only good things Katrina gave us!) and once in October for MNSSHP. So you see, although we are used to 100 degrees and 100% humidity, I am hestiant about doing that as a vacation...I usually try to escape it!

Please feel free to share any tips you may have about making your HOT stay more enjoyable...even for heat and humidity "pros".

Glad you had a nice trip! :)

It will most likely be the hottest heat you will ever feel in your life. Having said that, you can easily get around by taking it easy. Don't be afraid to sit down and rest for 30 minutes. You will need it.

I went to the Magic Kingdom by myself while my parents were resting on July 15 :)

Thanks for helping me to not feeling like a moron for going in July. Everytime I tell someone where we're going they say "Florida in July? You're crazy!" They forgot that where we live in PA there have been heat indexes near 100 for the past week or so and I'm still living my life. I know it's going to be uncomfortable, but we plan on swimming in the afternoons and doing the parks morning and evening. :sunny:

I hear ya on that. Florida is not the only place in the world where the heat and humidity get like that...we were dealing with it here in KY. I grew up in Chicago and it wasn't uncommon for us to have summers where the heat index reached over 100. So Florida in July isn't out of the ordinary for me in terms of heat.

Glad you had a great trip! We're worried about the heat & crowds when we leave in 1 week for our first summer trip. Now, is that not so bad, the same way we forget what it was like to give birth to the first child & decide it won't be so bad to have a second? :rotfl2:

Hi! We also just got back from our 9th-16th trip! It was a blast and our 2nd year in a row during July. Crowds were managable and I thought it was hotter back in NY when we got back. :) We did alot more this year...pirate cruise for dd, segway tour for dh and water mice for all of us. Considering next year again!

I too just got back from my trip. July 12 thru July 20. Yes, it was hot and humid, but never ventured out of the 90's. Back home in Oklahoma, my husband reported having temps. 105 and above. Their lows in Oklahoma were the highs in Florida during my trip.

The tour groups were still there the time that I was there as well. I stayed at the ASMu and it wasn't too bad there except when you're following them going to the food court or busses. They walk in lines like four across. There were more than one group there. One of the Brsazillian groups were very mannerly and orderly, another of the Brazillian groups were louder and fiesty. I had scheduled ADR at the Crystal Palace. I went solo, so I was easy to place. Low and behold, two of the tour groups came in about fifteen min. after me, and were seated right next to me. They had a party of 90. It got so loud, and the line was so long, I left without eating much at all.

I found the early morning times best for getting on rides easily. I was at MK on opening and before 10:00 AM I had ridden Pirates of Carb. BuzzLightyear, Winnie the Pooh, Space Mountain and was at rope drop to Toon Town. Walked streight up in the Charecter lines. Went from Toontown to see CinderellaCellebration, then right into Belle's storytime.

Now the park was really hopping the evening that I went and the Pirates ride was an hour and 50 min. wait. Very crowded.
I did the same simular thing at AK, went early and by 11:00AM I had ridden Everest, Dinosour, It's Tough to be a Bug, seen Lion King and did the Camp Minnie Mickey Minnie, and was on the bus back to the resort because the heat was coming on strong.

During the summer in Phoenix (thankfully, we live two hours from there where it is 20 degrees cooler), it routinely gets up between 115 and 120 degrees. It's drier than Florida, but even on a "humid day" (30% humidity maybe), the heat index has to be at least 120 or more. Talk about stay inside...
