July hours?

we are going for a quick trip toward the end of July. We have never been in summer, but I had always thought hours were earlier/later in summer and during holiday weeks? Am I wrong here? Any chance the schedules might change?

Last year, MK closed an hour earlier than they had the year before. The current hours might change, or they might not. Don't count on the daily midnight closings that used to be customary at MK in summer. Those halcyon days appear to be over.

The July hours you see are not the finalized hours. Look for hours for July to change around the end of this month or early in June

I looked back at July 2016 hours. MK closed at 10pm each night, same as it is listed for 2017. The big difference will be that AK is open until 10 or 11 each night (later for resort guests)

I question if the historical data is right (not sure how to look it up). We were there for there from about June 16th to July 4th 2016 and MK definitely did not close at 10pm every night. It was typically 11pm, sometimes midnight or even 1-2am. There may have been a day or two where it did close at 10pm, I don't recall exactly, but I'm certain there were later nights...we stayed to closing once or twice and it was 11pm.

I would expect they'll extend hours again this summer, but that's just a guess.

I thought they changed once already. I had been watching them & pretty sure MK was 9pm & now it's 10pm most nights. Will they change again?

July 2016, Magic Kingdom regular operating hours were generally from 9AM - 11PM, with morning EMH on Friday and evening EMH on Wednesday (modified for Muly 4th weekend)
MSEP went at 9 and 11, and Wishes at 10

A big change this year is no nighttime parade, so they could easily keep the park open until 10 with HEA at 10
They have been playing OUAT 45 minutes after Wishes, so if they keep that trend then park would be open until 11

But summer 2015 saw regular hours until midnight most nights, so they definitely cut back last year

This will be our first July visit as well. I am concerned about the morning hours. No one in my family will get up early on vacation. We plan to go to the parks that don't have the early morning hours. Anyone have an idea if the opening times are likely to change? Right now my vaction week has listed openings at 9 for parks unless they have extra morning magic hours -those are currently listed at 8. Hoping I can plan on these times staying put. Thoughts?
PS I am talking about all the parks not just MK lol.

Parks other than MK rarely open before 9AM (DAK being an exception from 5/27-7/4)
Last summer, MK had sporadic 8AM opens that didn't follow a pattern.

I would expect it to be possible to see earlier hours at MK, maybe DAK, but not at DHS or Epcot

Okay. Thanks! Obviously I'll keep checking back but the trick is making those FPs & dining arrangements far in advance & then the changing-hours-curveball comes in during the last inning.

(Hubby would be proud of that sports analogy, if it even made sense, since I am not a sports gal teehee)
