Just paid a visit to WDW site just on the off chance that the July hours would be out and to my surprise they were......

Now we can finalise our plans and itinerary

July hours

We're going in August, but I don't remember Future World closing so early last year (August again!), I mean 6.00pm!!! How much earlier can Disney close parks?
Unfortunately for us, if they are doing this in July (which is typically busier than August) they could theoretically close even earlier. I think we'll have to spend more time at IOA and USF this year, especially in the evenings...
Ian

Ian, that's exactly what we did in August last year because of Disney closing the parks early. We tended to spend the early part of the day at Disney, and then the evenings at Universal and Citywalk. I thought that it was a bit of a strange strategy for Disney because we spent more money on food and entertainment in the evening at Universal than we did during the early part of the day at Disney. We found that Islands of Adventure after dark was wonderful, often with only short queues for most attractions.

Rob

The tickets we've got this year will allow us to do just that Rob, without that terrible feeling that your wasting a flex ticket or Disney day. We've got annual passes for USF/IOA and Seaworld, and Fun in the sun tickets...
So we should be able to choose exactly where we want to be each day, without being dictated to by our tickets!!
Ian

We also had annual passes, so it is possible to do this. I think the Universal APs are even better value for money than the Disney APs. I've not heard of the Fun in the Sun pass - can you tell me a bit about it?

Regards

Rob

Rob, the fun in the sun ticket is a 30 day ticket which can only (it seems) be bought from Paramount international travel http://paramountinternationaltravel.com/
It gives you complete access to all the Disney parks, including water parks, as I said, for 30 consecutive days. (you have to pay for parking as usual though!)
Costs $310/adult, $250/child. This works out at about £200/adult and £161/child (at $1.55 per £) The ticket doesn't still appear on their website, but is available if you ring them (Rosa usually answers!) Can't remember the number, I got it from these boards. But the number I've got on my e-mail is (407) 841-0134.
