July Freedom of the Seas Rules

Does anyone know if you can choose to attend the unvaccinated dinner if you are vaccinated? Also, this seems like all the lounges will be closed to unvaccinated guests. Is this correct? I'm vaccinated, but some in my party are not and my 14 year old will not be either.

I could be wrong but I believe only certain events and venues will be closed to the unvaxxed.

You'll need to scan your card to show you are vaxxed and access venues for vaxxed only but I don't think it will be the same for the rest if the ship.

I'm sure vaxxed people could ask to be seated in the unvaxxed section but the opposite would not be permitted.

(This feels so weird to talk about...)

So I just called Royal Caribbean and asked my questions. You cannot choose to sit in the unvaccinated section if you are vaccinated. Parties will be separated, even including children from parents if the kids are in the 16+ age group. It does not apply to the under 16 group at this time. It may also apply to 12+ on August 1 like the Royal vaccine policy does in states other than Florida. Whoa they are really trying to discourage cruising unvaccinated. We are on the Mariner in August so this doesn't apply to me yet, but if it does looks like Disney/Universal trip will be my backup. Hopefully they allow full refunds when they release the information like they are for the July people. We can cruise in a year or two.

Oh for those wondering....yes all bars onboard will be vaccinated only at all times per Royal Caribbean.

This seems very extreme. I wonder how many families will cancel when they will likely be separated from their teens in these cases. Doesn't seem to make any sense that a vaccinated person couldn't choose to eat in the unvaccinated section.

Keep your eyes open because if I am not mistaken, guests (who want to cancel because of the vaccination policy) may end up having only a few days to make a decision and cancel if they want to get refunds.

I remember seeing something about cancellations this week-end for the first July cruises and saw June 21 as limit. I was thought it was extremely short notice.

Do you happen to remember when they released the guidelines? I think it was Friday the 18th when I originally posted.

RCL Blog warned there would be additional rules on the 15th and they published rules on the 17th.
