July Crowds and Weather

Thinking about visiting WDW end of July. What is the weather and crowds like? Also how are the rates?

HOT and CROWDED!!!

It will be VERY HOT and VERY HUMID. There will be thunderstorms almost every afternoon that will last anywhere from 15 minutes to a couple of hours.

Having said that, there are many people who love to go every July (we often go in August) and in fact there was a recent thread in the Theme Parks Attractions and Stretegies section that focused on people who go in July.

Do you recommend early Aug over late July? What are the advantages or disadvantages to either? Is there a greater chance for hurricanes in Aug?

I don't think there is much difference between late July and early August. In late August though the crowds get lighter as many of the kids are back in school already.

Toystorymom is right..the locals are usually back in school by the second week of August.

We usually arrive anywhere between August 11 and 16 and the crowds are very manageable.

Our friends who often go with us went in late July one year and said it was much more croded than our usual time.
