Book the AAA rate and purchase the service. It really is completely worthwhile. Last summer we broke down in our new 2004 Blazer on a highway in the Adirondack mountains. AAA was a life saver.
We have not used it for Disney discounts, since AP discounts are always available. But I always book the AAA rate, and modify when
AP rates become available.

Mich Mouse, thanks for the info. I am thinking about it seriously as we travel to Florida twice a year now... I called WDW yesterday and the woman said I could book the AAA rate and just show my ID card at check-in (so I could join after I book the rate). There were a lot of AAA rate rooms for our travel dates so I am "playing chicken" right now with the AP rates and hoping I won't need to get the AAA rate!

I am waiting for AP or Fl Resident rates for July/August too. I know there is no guarantee that there will be codes, but how long will it be? I am going crazy, along with everyone else playing the waiting game. I can't even remember when they were released for last summer. Anyone here remember?

The codes for July 5, 2004 - August 28(?), 2004 were released on May 5th, 2004... I'll be really watching starting the first week of May

Hi All! Just got off the phone with CRO, and they say only AP rates now go to July 4, nothing beyond!! She said not sure if or when any for later summer will be available!

Well, since the current codes came out on the exact same date as 2004, (March 9th) let's all take a deep breath, close our eyes and wish with all our might that on May 5 the codes for the remainder of the summer will magically appear! And, if they do, the Happiest Celebration on Earth will not only be going on at WDW, it will also be going on right here on the Disboards!!!!

The code can only be "applied" if there is a room available for the AP discount. If there are no rooms available for the AP discount, the code cannot be applied.
The more rooms booked at rack rate, the less the number of rooms available for discounts (and also possibly the less the amount of discount - ie. May, June)

So...when/if the codes come out for the AP discount...we should call the regular ressie tel # ?? Or is there a special AP # to call ??
(I just rec'd my 1st (DVC) AP "voucher" and want to try it out for my solo trip)

Hey everyone! It's getting closer to the time we all hope is "IT!" I am going to call each day beginning May 1st. Hopefully one of those days they'll be able to tell me "Tomorrow!" and then I'll set the clock and get up to call... East coast is in daylight savings now and we in Indiana don't do that, so it's an hour later there... EARLY BIRD gets the AP rates!
